The generate document on your link was great! It saved me from having to dial into a system to generate this for a customer. One question, though. Does the temporary greeting have the same ability to utilize programmed prompts for call routing, etc or is it just acting as an announcement?
Ok, I slowed down and checked eveything. I feel so dumb because I had "swapped" extension inorder to find a quiet place to work and turned of the audible ring. Long story short, I did hear the lines ringing but on a set right next to the one I was having problems with. I did speak to an Avaya...
Ok, I adjusted the settings as you had specified in the post. It did not make a difference. FYI- the second extension with the other line functioned just as I wanted it to. Not sure where the breakdown is and I ahve done this several times in the past, but not very lucky this time.
I am sure I am ahving a blonde moment. I have a Partner ASC rev7 with a VM card installed in the processor. System is configured for 4 lines. I successfully configured two of the lines to be answered by the auto attendent. I wanted to individually assign the other 2 lines to ring at extensions...
Thank you all for the replies. I did however have to rebuild the voicemail system as I was never able to connect to the system successfully via Hyperterm nor LAN port. Any extra help for future issues is greatly appreciated. BTW, it is a release 7, now.
I misunderstood the question... There is a 4 port vm card in the messaging module. If I am understanding correctly, then once the module itself is replaced, then all the programming I need is contained on the PCMIA card and no further programming should be needed, correct?
not sure of the release. There is no PCMIA card on this system, so backups are internal. Does it actually save the messaging configuration in this file? I have woked on Partners for several years now, but this is a new task as I usually do the installations and MAC work. Thanks guys.
Does anyone have relatively detailed instructions on how to download/backup the config on Partner Messaging to a file? I am sure that there has already been this question somewhere in the forum but as this is an emergency replacement, I need the answer as quickly as possible. My issue is my...
I have a PC running Windows XP (SP2) that previously would not update due to the Genuine Validation process failing. I was able to dowload and use the Gen Validation tool to resolve this part of the problem. Now, whether I enter the url manually, or click the the link within the Automatic...
Thanks alot guys. I have the calls routed to the desired location(s). I do have one more question/problem. The customer wants the calls sent to the AA to also ring at various extensions before the AA picks it up. Can this be done and how?
To clarify, one of the lines was the 'published'main number. The other two were used as private lines for different users. The numbers have not been ported as of yet, but they will be sent in the same manner as the existing digits/numbers. My confusion is that normally, the provider gives you a...
HEy guys, I need help from the experts on a Merlin-Magix. I currently have 3 POTS lines configured on the system in conjunction with a PRI. The PRI is functioning as expected and its configured to recieve 4 digits of which I am deleted one digit to route to extensions as DIDs. The 3 POTS are...
I have a client that wants to "archive" ( for lack of a better word)voicemail messages outside the system for an infinite amount of time to prevent using current mailbox space. I have no knowledge of a way to do this on the Legend/Magix platforms. Do any of you experts know of a way to do this...
It makes alot of senseto have to reboot the system. How is the number of rings set before it bounces to the next extension, is this done through group coverage delay?
I have an old legend system with 4 extensions assigned to calling group 771. Is there a way to set the hunting in that group to bounce to particualr extensions in a certain order? Would this invovle changing the hunt type for this group? Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Forgot to mention, when I viewed the inventory, it recognized that slot 6 was indeed my 024 module, but in the error log, I recieved the board mismatched error.
Checked and tested all of the above, to no avail. Someone suggested that being to the right of the Merlin Messaging module may be causing an issue. I have never encountered that as a possible problem, has anyone else heard that?
I recently installed a new Expansin carrier on a Magix 3.0 v7.0, CKE5 processor with a 024TDL module. After performing a board renumber, the phones connected to this module flash red on the MWI. I checked the error logs and the module is in "standby mode". What am I missing as to why the new...
