Actually, you can change the query, which is why there is a "reset" button in the Show SQL window. We've done that before with quite a few reports.
Thanks for the advice, I'll control it on the db side and I'll check with Crystal to see if there is a way to disable this.
Thanks!
We have reports that have been running fine for months, and suddenly we are getting this Client Access Error Msg:
SQL0204 - CHART in CRYSTAL type *FILE not FOUND
Chart = our file
We have the latest drivers, and the file is there. In the SQL query, the lib has never been defined, but has...
We have remote users who acccess our system via Citrix (and newlook). However, they need to be able to access their printouts at their location.
I think I have to setup a shared printer session on the Citrix server, but was wondering if anyone could give me any tips on doing this.
Thanks.
Hi,
It's actually a bill we send out to our members, and it has amount due fields, credit balances, the member id number, name, address, city, state, zip, country, etc. Each member invoice contains about 45 formula fields as well.
We needed to group by ID because the database file had...
I need to sort invoices by zip code, but I cannot do that because of a group I already have defined in my invoice run.
I am grouping by member ID, and that is the way it is being sorted.
I've grouped by zip and tried using that, but it isn't working.
Any ideas would be helpful.
Thank you,
Leslie
Hi,
On a report, I need to display a member name and their business designation.
We have two different designations, A and B. It is currently displaying the member name twice, with designation A and designation B next to each name:
John Doe "A"
John Doe "B"
I just want...
I only have one link: from table/field RNWWRK.DDBILC to DUECOD.DCDBIL. It is an equal join. Those are the only tables I have.
The member ID is not used for linking, as it only exists in the RNWWRK file.
Does that help?
I need a formula, that I think should be simple, but can't figure out how to say it.
I need the formula to display a dollar amount if a member currently does not belong to a particular section, thereby giving them an option to join that section. If they are a member of it, then I don't want...
Hi,
This didn't work, because there isn't just one amount that's due from each person. I have about 50 formulas for each invoice, each displaying dues amounts, section amounts, credits and late fees. These amounts are spread all over the invoice.
For some people, I have up to 8 invoices b/c...
THANK YOU...I was focusing on the wrong part of the report -I reviewed my tables and fixed the linking, everything is being displayed as it should!
Thanks so much! You guys are great, especially for beginners like me.
Sorry, I don't think I was clear enough. I need for a second invoice to print right after the first.
I do need two copies at once, not two separate runs. If I choose 2 copies, then it will print 1-5,000 and then 1-5,000 again.
Any ideas? Thanks!
I have a large invoice run to print.
Is there a way to print two copies of each invoice in the run of 5,000+ invoices, so that two copies go out to the individual, one to send back and one to keep?
Thank you.
That just returns the first section name in the file and an amount that's not related to it, since there are other amounts in the file SECTAMT that relate to other amounts members need to pay.
SECTNAME has about 25 different section descriptions, and SECAMT has 8 different amounts in it, so if...
I tried that, but I still don't get the data displayed, I just get 0.00 value again.
I also enabled "Report Options" convert NULL to default.
Any other suggestions would be helpful. thanks.
I have a simple formula:
if {FILE.SECTNAME} = "SECT" then {FILE.SECTAMT}
SECT = a section that our members pay to join. SECTAMT = the amount a member must pay.
I need to display that amount on my report.
When I browse the field data, the amount is displayed, but so is a 0.00...
It's a DB2 AS/400 file. The amounts themselves are packed. However, they are in the format above, as you guessed: -50.00
195.00
295.00
10.00
Ex. of file:
John Doe Section: Health
John Doe AAA Credit
John Doe Section: Pension
John Doe ASA Dues
