    x8 E&M setting

Why does the diagram show voltage? The 2 pairs should be transmit and receive. I think it's the BCSU command in the 9006 that set the options (wink, immediate, etc.) Might be CHA-BCSU, TMD (TBL would be the card type). Sorry I can just go by memory, I don't have much trunk documentation.

    x8 E&M setting

Not familiar with the 2x8 system - but if I recall correctly, the 9006 (which the card looks like it's for) has all the T1 E&M options, such as Wink, Immediate, Delay, etc. You could just flip the transmit/receive pair between the 2 systems, and set one to supply clocking, other to clock off of...

Openscape X5 external paging with Bogen PCM2000

You're welcome. So you can hear the DTMF 00, then audio when you speak? If you're hearing the 2 tones, maybe they're too short for the Bogen to recognize. I don't know if there's a setting in the Openscape system to adjust for the length of the tone, or what do do if you're not hearing them at...

Openscape X5 external paging with Bogen PCM2000

If you have a buttset, can you monitor the analog line on the RJ11? That would confirm if the system is in fact sending DTMF 00, then audio when speaking. Or in place of the paging interface that is 'answering' the ringing analog line, answer with the buttset and listen.

No Line Text Label on 9841 phones

We recently started deploying Cisco 9841 phones. The Line Text Label does not appear, just the +1NXXNXXXXXXX number. My co-worker informed me when adding a 2nd line, the label will then appear for all lines. I wonder if there's any other configuration setting that will allow the label to appear...

    ROLM 9751-9005 CNFG Command

Interesting a Mod 50 is still in operation. If you have some good 3.5" diskettes on hand one command you may want to do is (I think.. just from memory) COPY BACKUP CNFG_9005.6.84. which will backup the configuration to the diskettes. Depending on the CNFG size, it may be more than one diskette...

No transmit from new laptop microphone using Jabber

Didn't think so since the same version of Jabber does transmit DTMF on my work pc.

No transmit from new laptop microphone using Jabber

Ended up buying a USB headset, that works. I also noticed with Jabber I can't transmit DTMF, whether the headset is connected or not. As before DTMF is fine with Google Voice as well as the internal microphone.

Looking for Iwatsu ADIX programming software

Good deal! You're welcome. I finally got it off the older of 2 old laptops. I sent you a PM.

Looking for Iwatsu ADIX programming software

I may have found the Adix programmer on an old pc, zipped it but upload progress at 100% stays, maybe it's too big at 20 meg. Edit - it's not attaching after completed.

Looking for Iwatsu ADIX programming software

Here is the .msi for the Icon programmer, required for ECS systems, but you may need the older Adix programmer. I was able to use the Icon programmer on some Adix systems depending on the release. Sorry I looked for the older Adix programmer but couldn't find it. I don't know if this file will...

No transmit from new laptop microphone using Jabber

Checked all the settings upon installation. I configure Jabber routinely for customers and assist them with troubleshooting. Never have I had a consistent situation like this. Next week I'll bring the USB headset from the office home just to try it.

    Sad

With the new site I've been getting an email alert for every single post. Evidently I was subscribed to everything, like this forum. Not a big deal, I just Unwatch each forum that I wouldn't typically visit. I just saw a moving co. ad posted in another forum. Looked again later and it was...

No transmit from new laptop microphone using Jabber

I don't want to use the headset. I said that works for reference.

No transmit from new laptop microphone using Jabber

I had Jabber working on my Windows 10 Lenovo laptop. I recently bought a replacement Lenovo laptop. With the new Windows 11 laptop, there's no transmit from the laptop's microphone. It works fine with Google Voice and Teams, just not with Jabber. Did the usual, checked/verified audio settings...

    POTS / Modem replacement

My bad - the initial post does say the callers are prompted to enter information, which is via DTMF. When I saw 'Dialogic 4 port modem' I was assuming data transmission of some sort, The term Modem threw me. I concur with what Tommy said.

    POTS / Modem replacement

It's been awhile since I've used them so I don't recall - but if the Grandstream ATAs have a T.38 option (they probably do) I'd enable that. That, or G.711. I don't know if one is recommended over the other.

    POTS / Modem replacement

We also have some Cisco ATAs, but prefer to keep fax lines on our legacy AT&T 5ESS, at least for now as we migrate to Cisco phones. The ATAs don't have issues with calls going through, but will still sometimes not reliably send or receive a fax. That's even with the recommended codec settings...

    Sending Fax by eMail

Unless you have a good quality analog phone line from the central office, faxing typically has difficulty these days. I had to order one from the CO for our I.T. department for modem access to routers in case the network went down. We couldn't even use analog lines from our legacy AT&T switch...

    End of Epabx

I worked with one of those, I think a 6304 a few years ago, a nice small system with a lot of features, especially for the price. Yes it certainly is a good alternative to hosted, and I guess it could be considered to be today's on site PBX, that can still analog CO lines.
