We have W2K servers w/ Presentation Server 3.0. How do I prevent users from launching .exe files from their email via Citrix? Thanks in advance for your assistance.
It seems that users were installing all three of the citrix clients (Program Neighborhood, Web Client, Web Agent) and with the Web Agent installed, the Web Client would fail to work properly. Even after uninstalling all of the clients and just install the Web Client, it would still give this...
We don't know exactly what fixed it. Just that, the full Citrix Program Neighborhood client installation was enough to resolve the issue. If I do find exactly what fixed it, I will post it. Thanks.
Thank you ascotta and tk36 for your help. However, we solved the issue. We uninstalled the web client from the user's PC and installed Citrix Program Neighborhood and tested. It worked successfully without any errors.
Thank you. When I published the desktop of the server and access it via NFuse, I am fine. On the same server, when I access a publish application I get this "Access is denied" error. Thanks again for your help.
Thank you ascotta. I tried your suggestions. What I've noticed is that the application that is causing the problem is STUISRV.EXE. This is a citrix application and is found in \program files\citrix\system32. I can't find anything much about this application. Any information is very much...
Thank you for your response ascotta. However, I don't think so. When the user uses an XP Prof SP2 PC to connect, he gets the "Access is denied" message. When he uses a W2K SP4 PC, he is fine.
Hi,
We have MFPS 3.0 on W2K SP4 Servers. When users are logging on using NFuse, they get the following error: "Access is denied. This initial program cannot be stared: icast.exe [path of the application use is trying to access]. Please check the initial program in the client configuration."...
Thanks carrr. In our hospital environment, we have to hide the entire File menu because of security and HIPPA requirements. When I tried Alt+F then A as you suggested, it still did not bring up the Save As box. Any other suggestions? Thanks again for your assistance.
Thank you Carrr. There are a lot of useful keyboard shortcuts on the webpage you provided. However, it does not have the hotkeys for Save As. Unfortunately, Ctrl+S does not work as Save As.
Hi Styx, thanks for all your help. However, earlier today, on this ME PC, I did a search on .cpl files and was able to open the "Add/Remove Programs" utility in Control Panel. I then went to the second tab and selected the "Fix Internet Explorer" option. This IE fix ran and...
I also tried it in safe mode and it doesn't work. I also rebooted with the ME startup disk and ran the "scanreg /fix" command and hoping that would do it but still no luck. Any other suggestions? Thanks.
I have a P4 1.3GHz with 128MB RAM PC. It has Windows ME.
I installed Norton SystemWorks and it was not working properly so I uninstalled it. Now, when I opened Windows Explorer to view the contents of my C: drive, all I get is a blank screen with no file listing. I also cannot view the contents...
Hi,
I have upgraded from IE 5.0 to IE 6.0 on a Windows 2000 Prof machine and when I rebooted my machine and launch IE, I am being prompted to change my default home page to msn.com. Is there any way to disable this prompt? Our systems are set up so that when a user logs on, a profile is created...
Hi All,
I am using GroupWise 5.5 on W2K. Everytime I opened GroupWise, I get a window prompting me for MS Exchange Server info. Has anyone seen this message before? Please help!! Thanks.
Hi All,
I am currently using GroupWise 5.5 as my email software. Any time I open GroupWise on my W2K PC, I get a box prompting for MS Exchange Server properties. We do not use MS Exchange in our shop. Has anyone seen this before? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
