We have W2K servers w/ Presentation Server 3.0. How do I prevent users from launching .exe files from their email via Citrix? Thanks in advance for your assistance.

First, what office version are you using?

Keeping that in mind, I would suggest two ways.

First way is to install an application to block them before they are recieved in email. Most antivirus programs for clients and mail servers have this functionality.

Second would be a group policy. In Win2k group policy you can block executables by name or specify a list of executables that are the only ones that can run.

Both are good solutions, but the group policy solution takes some time to tweak.

We are using Office 2003. For our email client, we are using GroupWise 6.5. I will try the Group Policy solution. Thank you.
