Give the connecting clients a different subnet.
ie - standard dhcp - 192.168.0.x/24
connecting client - 192.168.1.x24

First thing I would be doing in your place, would be to swap over to internal IPs and get a larger range (192.168.x.y /16 /24) can give you 65,000 / 256 IPs.
Though I'm pretty sure you can make a dhcp range in the multicast server of Ghost, though it has been a while since I've looked into it.
Have you tried changing NICs?
Or testing the state of the hub/switch that you are ocnnecting them through.
I have encountered a similiar issue where pcs just dropped off, Once I had updated the OS on the switch (it was a hp 2524 - to F02.02... ) the issue disappeared.

Ok, first question for you, are you getting static or dynamic IPs from your ADSL connection. I suspect (And someone correct me if I'm wrong) but you'd want at least a static on your server, to enable a point of reference for your VPN.
