    Task Fixed Duration, Variable Resources

    have a play with 'task type'. if i understand your question allocating more resource to a task with predictable hours should change the duration! In principle halve the resources - doubles the duration double the resources - halves the duration whether this physically can be achieved is another...

    right! if you need the task duration to stay as is - make the field 'task type' fixed duration. I prefer to enter resources in a split view gantt chart and enter work rather than units. that way total work will equal the project budget. hth.

    open "Calendar" view double click on the view select the tab "Date Shading" then choose the calendar in the 'show working time for' drop list.
