We have a h/a firewall setup with dual poweredge 1750 boxes running secureplatform & checkpoint fw1 version r55. On one of our two firewalls, looking in the smarttracker log, there is a constant flow of traffic from object "firewall2" to either 179.anything.com, or 174.anything.com, or a few...
Uhhh... code? I'm no programmer here, I was hoping there was an easy way of doing this. I know Lotus does it easily, so I was looking to see if Excel can do it. If it requires coding or macros, I'm up the creek.
I guess maybe I used a bad example; I understand what you're saying. But if I have a sheet that has links to multiple prior sheets, and I want to copy this sheet and extend it out for three or more sheets (let's assume each sheet is a given year's financial statement, relying on some data from...
I searched but didn't find this question asked previously, so I hope someone knows how to do this.
Let's say I have a workbook with sheet A & sheet B. Cell A1 on sheet B links to cell A1 on sheet A. Now, I want to create sheet C, and copy cell A1 from sheet B to sheet C, but now have cell A1 on...
Here's a new one for me. A user here sent a group email to about 25 people in a distribution list within our office, and attached a Word document. 3 or 4 users got the email but there was no attachment and no notice saying the attachment was stripped.
We use exchange 2000 & Outlook XP. Anyone...
Well, for the users mentioned, they only use roaming profiles, they never have a direct network connection to the exchange server or any other server for that matter...
Here's a new one for me. Just today, a handful of users called me saying that their outlook started up and asked them to re enter all their profile info. I looked in the "documents and settings" directory on the citrix server, and for each of these problem users, a new profile appeared, with a...
We just put a point to point T1 in between our Chicago & LA offices. We run Citrix in LA. With our regular internet T1's in LA & Chicago, the Chicago people experienced serious lag when typing and moving thru spreadsheets, etc.
The point to point was put in to eliminate that. The problem...
We have 2 remote offices, one in Chicago, other in Boston. We're in L.A. After serious troubleshooting from our vendor, the issue turns out to be line latency. Pings to Chicago average 90ms, to Boston 120ms. Although our throughput is superb, this latency causes all kinds of problems when...
Using Metaframe XP, sp2 fr2. They use the full Citrix Program Neighborhood to get to the published apps. When I set them up, I used the internal address of our Citrix server in our local office.
Are you saying that wasn't the correct way to go?
If a citrix client is running Norton Antivirus on their PC, while we're running Trend on our Citrix & Exchange servers, could this cause a problem for the user on the client machine?
I posted another message previously, but now I'm wondering if an entire remote office connecting to our Citrix server could be slow as a result of improper server settings in the remote office. They use a server for DHCP and local printing, but the DNS settings on each client machine in that...
Just a thought; setup the sync as a batch file, with the first line something like
net use comx: /delete where x is the port you're using
then as the second line do the net use command to remap whatever com port. That worked for me, though I'm not sure my problem was identical.
No, after looking thru our bandwidth tests for our offices, it does NOT appear to be a bandwidth issue, especially considering that those who connect from home have no problems. The CPU is never maxxed out, it's a dual Xeon 2.8; I check it frequently. I've also tried tracking the slowdown to a...
