    Feature 981 to external voicemail?

Can Feature 981 be programmed to dial an external voicemail system? We might be moving to an external voicemail system, and I'd like to make the transition as invisible as possible. It's an MICS XC 7.0 system with a CallPilot 150. If the CallPilot can do some funky routing for me, that could...

Question on how to make system hack safe

We actually had some bad wiring that caused the system to pick up and produce a dial tone. You could then dial any number you wanted. No one ever found out about it, but it could have been bad if someone did. At the time, we had a T1 that was going into the system as 24 analog lines. I was...

    switching extension

I agree with Dan. We had a fire that messed up our phone system, and I happened to have documented all the ports and extensions THE DAY BEFORE! We had the phone system back up in a day instead of what would have probably been a week.

    DID length and DN length

My vendor and I were discussing this. Currently we have 3 digits being sent from DID numbers over PRI and 3 digit DN numbers. From what I can tell, you could have 4 digits being sent from DID and still have 3 digit DN numbers where you tell explicitly what 4 digits go to what extension, but he...

    Rec'd #?

Ok, I found out what the deal is. The installer changed it. He said the system can't accept a 0 or a 9 as the first digit. What I am taking about is that when you have a DID that is 555-7015 and the Rec'd# is set to 3 you'd expect to get 015, but he had it changed to 715.

    Rec'd #?

Is there a way to find out what numbers are being received for a certain DID number on a PRI? They don't seem to be 1 to 1 so I'm confused.

    max number of BCM extension

Thanks. I was hoping it was more than the 192 limit the MICS system had.

    max number of BCM extension

Which BCM system supports the most number of extensions and how many would that be? Thanks.

PRI, MICS 7.0, & fax server

How about digitally? What are the options there?

PRI, MICS 7.0, & fax server

Did some reading and found that an IAD will probably do the trick for around $2000. Anything cheaper?

PRI, MICS 7.0, & fax server

We have a T1 PRI connected to a MICS 7.0 system. We have about 150 DID numbers that need to be routed to a fax server (1 number for each person). How exactly can this be done? We haven't ordered the fax server yet, and our usual vendor is unavailable, so I wanted to ask here. My boss is just...

    ATA & MICS 7.0

If anyone is curious, it turns out that the clock card was bad.

    ATA & MICS 7.0

It seems to be possibly a line quality issue with our new PRI. The fax machines I was testing don't like each other so I thought it was the ATAs, but I was able to fax to all our other machines without problem.

    ATA & MICS 7.0

Anyone? Is it a PRI issue?

    ATA & MICS 7.0

Is it true that only ATA2's work with an MICS 7.0 system? We got a upgrade and can't send or receive faxes even though we can hear it connecting and I was wondering if the problem is that we have regular ATA's.

Quick Q&A: RAD Password, new question!

I think you have to set the password with Feature 9**

about to hit capacity, what are our options?

How many is that in total? 192?
  18. JosephBernard

about to hit capacity, what are our options?

We have an MICS XC system and might soon go beyond the extension capacity and then some (200+). Anyone have a suggestion? We'd like to use our existing equipment and not use VoIP if possible.

    MCK Module EXTender

That makes more sense. Their website says this: "The Module EXTender local unit connects to the Norstar KTS at the central location and the remote unit remotely connects to up to 10 Norstar trunk or station modules" which made me think there was some type of multiplexing going on. The...

    MCK Module EXTender

I read the data sheet for the MCK Module EXTender and noticed the line: "Depending on configuration, up to 10 remote Norstar Trunk or Station Modules may be connected with Module EXTender." But I can't find how that would work exactly. Right now we have 3 pairs of extenders with one station...
