I need to reip 2 clustered exchange2003 servers. I can reip the heartbeat connections fine. I can reip the lan connections fine. I need help in reiping the other stuff namely: mailsrv, msdtc, and mail. Where do I look to change these IP's, and in which order do I change them.
Thanks.
Trying to setup a small 2k3 network. Three servers total. I am unable to ping the DC by name or IP from the other two servers(unable to join any machines to the domain). I can ping the other servers from the DC. When I ping the DC from itself by IP I get a reply, but when I ping it by name...
I have a small 2000 domain(1 DC and 4 WS) It has worked flawlessly for 2 plus years. Recently, I have experienced major time problems. Every few days nobody is able to log in because "the time on the machine and the server are not in sync" or so it says. Even when I try to log into the...
Any luck on this, I am having the exact same problem. One user in our domain cannot receive attachments from one user in another domain. The same email forwarded by someone else arrives to the affected user no problem.
Thanks Moby and Sid. To answer your question Sid, I am not using a batch file I am manually mapping the drive. I think this has to do with the the drive mapping timing out after a period of inactivity. I have turned off autodisconnect. I will post my findings tomorrow morning. Again thanks...
I Have 'R' drive mapped to a share on a server that is not on the domain. Supply credentials for that server and everything works fine. Every morning when I try to access my 'R' drive, I get the error message "the local device name is already in use...." When I disconnect the drive letter and...
No it is not quite the same thing. If I have one workstation that I want only one user to be able to log onto, I will have to grant all 499 other users access to all workstations but the one I want to lock down. It is doable, but seems like quite a bit of work to accomplise my objective. My...
Is there a way in a WIN2000 domain to limit who logs on to certain machines? I know you can limit a user to certain workstations, but can you limit a workstation to certain domain users?
Migrating a user from one computer to another. I imported his PST. Now How do I get outlook to recognize messages it has already downloaded and not try to download 7000 messages?
Have one user whose extention is programmed as a softkey on all phones. Whenever he is on the phone, that button lights up on all phones. Is there a way to keep that softkey but have it not light up or add another extention on that phone that he can use?
My queue is being clogged by DNR's from postmaster@gfi-relay.domainA.com
Delivery to the following recipients failed.
username@domainB.com
These are random names that are rejected at the firewall on the domain that mail is being relayed to. Is there a way to stop these NDR's from being sent...
Thanks NOKtar. Right on the money. Saved me hours of restore from tape headaches. Do you know the usefulness of having the ability to move mail to the top of the information store? Again thanks a million.
Had a user that decided to move messages from the inbox of her personal folder back to the server. She highlighted all the messages and dragged them to the root of mailbox-username. The inbox of the personal folder emptied, but now I don't know where to find the messages. She did not drop it...
OWA worked fine with 5.5. Upgraded to 2003 and it will work from a workstation on the LAN using the internal IP, but not from the outside. Can someone point me to the settings I need to look at? Nothing changed on the ISP side. When I migrated I maintained the same server name and IP address.
Was running exvhange2000 with OWA fine. Put in a new exchange2003 box and migrated all the mailboxes. How do I get(configure) OWA on this new box? This is the error message I get. "You are not authorized to view this page
