I am unable to upgrade to the new engine, Epo hangs and eventually generates script errors when I attempt to check-in a new package via the wizard. I have rebooted the server and nothing helps.
Maybe one of you guys can give me a hand. I have a similar problem.
Server(1) Win2k..AD Controller..Veritas 8.6..Exch Admin Tools..Exch Agent
Server(2) Winnt4..Domain Controller..Exch 5.5.. Veritas Remote Agent
Note: There is a two way trust between the 2 domains, and all service packs...

Currently I am testing EPOL 2.0 with Netshield 4.5 and Virus Scan 4.5.1 for possible replacement of McAfee's previous version MMC across our domains.
I've created tasks, and have enabled "Run missed task" but I still am unable to find in the scheduler where to enable my clients...
Is it possible to have EPOL force clients to look for updates/upgrades at startup from the file location (FTP-UNC)? I know this can be configured on the application directly via the schedule, but have found no place to enable this setting via the EPOL console.
Never mind the upgrade location request. Currently ME is serving us well, once you get it up and running its not bad. Today I'm going to set out and evaluate EPOL, I want to see if it makes any major leaps to improve the current process.
Anyone know of a way to run more than one instance of the MMC? Or better yet kill a session running from a remote machine. Problem is, if a user opens a remote session and fails to close it know one else can get in.

Depending on how your network is configured, it is possible you may only need a system scan to prevent viruses from being introduced locally. It is possible your security team has incorporated scanning at the server level (proxy, email, etc;)to catch incoming viruses.
If you are running an Anti-Virus program, it is possible for it to be scannning files during the backup process. Try diabling it and see if it makes a difference. If it does, you may want to exclude certain types of files from the scan process or deem it as acceptable considering the...
