Semaphore Timeout Errors

I am having some problems with my backup that cause the job to fail. I have a Spectralogic treefrog library with a pair of AIT3 drives in it. Below are the error messages that I am getting in BE and the event log. Does anyone have some insight that they can share as to what might be causing this?

This error for me turned out to be a bad drive. Prior to changing drives I tried new tapes etc nothing worked; Good luck.

Thanks for the feedback - I've had the error on both drives in the unit so it's either something else in the library or both drives are bad.

Hi

The solution is to disable a registry Key.
Just change the FsUseAsyncIo Value described below to 0 (zero), restart your BENT Services and its should work.

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\VERITAS\Backup Exec\Engine\NTFS]
"FsUseAsyncIo"=dword:00000001
