I have found the answer in Access Support Article ID: Q232779. You are right. I seem to have the Access 2000 database (ODBC) driver installed, version 4.x. That must have happened when I installed Project 2000. But I have Access 97. The FAQ gave me a workaround. I create a blank database...
I understand that Access 8.0 is the same as Access 97. I need to Export from MS Project from Microsoft Project 2000 into Access 97 database. It looks like it is doing the "save as" without any problem, but when I try to open the database in Access I get a message saying...
It doesn't fully work any way I do it. I can see all the fields sometimes but I can't see all the fields when I set up a new formula, even in a table all by itself. When I try to link, I can't see all the fields, in particular the fields I want to select by and sort by and link by. I can...
I want to do a budget to actual comparison report. My actual figures are in SQL 7.0 financial database using an ODBC driver. My budget figures are in Excel. I set up an ODBC driver pointing to the named range in my Excel spreadsheet. I can see the fields like any other database. However, I...
My financial accounting package is SQL 7.0 database. My files from the bank export to comma separated values (.csv). I want to change a field in my SQL table to 'Y' if the check number in the SQL table is found in the 5th field across in the .csv file. Is there any way to get the .csv file...
How do I import the csv file into a temporary table? Can it be done in the same stored procedure or query? I am new at this. Sorry. I also don't understand what you are doing in the first two lines, before AS. Is that punctuated right?
I can export my bank data to comma separated value (.csv) format. My check payment data is in SQL tables. I want to find a way to compare the .csv file with the SQL table and if the check number matches, place a C in the Cleared Check field in the SQL table. Can this be done, hopefully...
Try changing from Microsoft SQl to ODBC drivers. Seagate told us that Microsoft doesn't support left outer joins very well yet. We changed all our reports from menu "database/convert database driver", then "set location". We already had ODBC drivers pointing to our various...
The help screen suggest not selecting a specific printer. What does that mean? How do I do that? When I enter print set up my HP printer is automatically there. I do not have a check in the "default properties" box. Should I have? I am on SCR 7.0 working with SQL tables and ODBC...
In the options menu there is a place to put a check mark for "convert null field values to default" Is it a good idea to check that or not? I am on version 7.0 working with SQL/ODBC tables.
What is the best way to send a report via e-mail? I am using Crystal 7.0 The receiver does not have crystal. If I export to Excel 8 the logo doesn't go. Do you know why? It is a .jpg file. So I have been exporting to Excel 7. Totals sometimes end up in weird places. Do you know why? What...
I prefer to have them enter 2 separate parameter fields, one for the begin date and one for the end date. I find that it is easier to work with than working with a range. Define each parameter as discrete rather than a range. In either case the user still needs to enter both dates. Another...
Well, what am I doing wrong? It doesn't update. When I first format the field it puts in the correct modify date, but then no matter what I change the date never changes again. If I copy that date field to another cell then I get the new modify date.
I am compiling reports for others to use. When in the designer I can hit refresh and enter different criteria, run the report, refresh and enter different criteria, etc. When the users needs to run report repeatedly for different criteria they have to keep logging back into the SQL database...
Whatever the answer, I have found that Crystal Reports bears many similarities to Foxpro. The reports do amazing things easily and can pull the data from many types of sources including .dbf tables. Certainly worth looking into as a hedge in the event something does change down the road.
My first thought would be to see if you can open it in Excel or Import it into Excel. If you could do that you could fix it and then export it to DBF file again. Been a long time since I worked with Foxpro. I have forgotten exactly how this might work. Seems like I did it once though.
I think Crystal info might help but until I run the report, I don't know who I want to send e-mails to. I think I would need to first find a way to break that report into individual reports. I am not a VB programmer. The VB answer is way over my head. I will try to find someone at work to...
I have a report that identifies invoices paid by ACH to various people. I want to notify them that I sent the ACH and what invoices were paid. My report groups by person with each group on a separate page. Different people are paid each time. Crystal support said that this can't be done in...
