    CICS DS cartridge problems

Anyone been having problems with these - static, screeching, etc? I had heard about CLID issues but these are regular DS cartridges with the dipswitch set for North America. Thanks, Kelly Kelly Smith Comtec Alaska

    Line 4 is silent!

Excellent isolation technique pointed out by cook1082. When you have a "known good" item and a "suspect bad" item, switch the two and see what is causing the trouble. This very fundamental but often unknown technique can save thousands of dollars over a career.

    serial port connection for PC

Just a heads up about the SAT program and Elite 192: When restoring the program- all data may appear to be correct but won't necessarily function. Back when I had access to NEC support, they advised reprogramming by phone even though data shows there. I had to do this to overwrite the same...

IVS2 remote shelf migrating to host PBX

my bad for not being clear about this. The remote pim is being eliminated. we are just taking the 2 8DLP cards and one 4LCDA from it and putting them in existing PIM0 or PIM1. PIM0 and 1 are already cabled out and have a lot of space. My best take is that I have to look at CMD 14 for how...

IVS2 remote shelf migrating to host PBX

IVS 2 cabinet system has DAIB card linking to a remote shelf with 13 digital phones and 2 analogs. They want to eliminate the remote shelf and migrate phones to existing PBX. Remote has 2 8DLCP cards and one analog card. Existing PBX has plenty of room. Sounds simple, but I know if I miss ONE...

    Elitemail delete reboots vmail

Hi, VMS 4 was on loan to a customer. I inherited the job of restoring it to normal for future use. If I hit F7 to delete a subscriber, then yes to confirm, the vmail says critical error and reboots. This is on any subscribers- not a manager's box (which does the same thing).

Dell laptop won't POST after being dropped

Thanks bcastner. I took the laptop completely apart and that's Exactly what it is; the PCMCIA had been knocked off the board and pins were shorting. I'll get a better case and be more careful with laptops.

Mitel SX200 LW Message waiting steps

I inherited this system and am trying to ramp up quickly on it. Motel where MWI doesn't work (and may Never have worked). Feature 41 code shows *76. DuPoint MW activate/deactivate codes are *761 ON and *762 OFF. If you dial *76 you get fast busy and "no access" in display. I have seen...
