We are attempting to move our E2K to another box within same domain & organization. New box is up, both Exchange servers see each other but we can't replicate the system public folders (we have no user created public folders). What would be causing replication of the public folders to not...
We have licensed version of Standard ISA 2000, but whenever we try to apply a downloaded patch or SP1 it says there is no version of ISA 2000 on this server. Does anyone have any ideas? Should I reinstall the software, or will that wipe out my settings? Thanks, Fred Gaston
We had a administrative installation share point for Office 2000 & upgraded several workstations to Office XP. Because of leftover registry references to the share point, the Windows Installer keeps coming up asking for Office 2000.
We have removed all references to Office 2000 in registry...
One of our sites bears the same name of our E2K server domain (gastonassoc.com). Hence our internal DNS gets confused when an internal user tries to view this site. All other sites viewable internally through firewall. How can I reconcile an internal & external domain which is identical...
One of our sites bears the same name of our E2K server domain (gastonassoc.com). Hence our internal DNS gets confused when an internal user tries to view this site. I realize this is more of a DNS issue, but can our ISA server, which sits behind our Sonicwall firewall & acts as proxy server...
Can anyone give me any tips on enabling instant messaging from E2K & Conferencing Server? It's setup but login as nomral E2K mailbox is not working.
Also would like to enable link off our ecommerce site to provide visitors instant messaging to specific IP behind our NAT enabled firewall...
Thanks Drack. Program was not there so we copied it over from another server & gave same permissions (must it be extracted to work?). We tried from safe mode & same behavior. Also everytime we doubleclick the program it starts a new mshta.exe process in task manager. Also noticed folders...
I'm having same problem, but only when backing up across a 2nd domain in W2K to an Exchange Server. Seems to be only when I try to backup individual mailboxes. Has anyone else tied to Exchange or multiple domains as possible issues?
in control panel on W2K Advanced Server running E2K. Double click & nothing happens suggesting conflict. Tried reinstalling SP2 & stopping most services to see if memory conflict. Saw nothing on MS sites, except how to run from command line, which still doesn't work. Any ideas? Thanks in...

Is anyone else leary about rolling out Outlook to Citrix users from a virus standpoint? We got creamed with nimda, despite precautions, and the Citrix server was the hardest hit. I have since not implemented any email clients, to the chagrine of users, but wonder with many upgrades to virus...
Is Citrix better suited to LAN vs. being on the DMZ? If servers on DMZ require public IP addresses, I don't see how the Citrix server would be part of LAN (shared directories or AD) or access apps on LAN. Thanks.
Thanks for response. Don't need to load balance, I don't think. One is full pipe & other is 64K fract. Is RAS the right method? Any idea how I would configure the internal card which goes to firewall? Would I pick up external IP or setup internal subnet? Thanks, Fred
I have feeds from 2 routers (2 different ISP's in building) and rather than buying a another router to combine, I want to use a W2K server with 3 NIC's: 2 WAN's & 1 LAN feeding to my firewall.
1. Is this doable?
2. How would the 3rd NIC (LAN) be setup? With free external IP address from one...
Dan:
The rebuild didn't work or I didn't understand your directions properly. Appreciate any other help or detailed instructions you can give. I just have this sneaking suspicion I have to re-enter them all. Thanks, Fred

So I have company! Well we can work together. Did this start for you by chance when you went with Agent for Exchange or by chance when you downloaded latest revision (beyond 3808. We're not getting much help from Veritas on it. I did reload Backup Exec & that seemed to solve the...
