Hi smah,
This "Show this folder as.." is used to show contacts in the address book. My problem is not showing them, rather than the addresses in the address book pointing to something else, rather than the correct e-mail address. To save the contacts I opened the contact from the Global Address...
Hi, (sorry for cross posting). We’re using outlook 2003 on Exchange 2003. I set up some users to use POP3 when they’re not in the office, configuring profiles. The problem is with contacts. I have copied the contacts of the GAL in their personal folders, but the user can send e-mail only when...
Hi, I’m feeling a bit dumb (ok, Ok, it’s the first time;-)) We’re using outlook 2003 on Exchange 2003. I set up some users to use POP3 when they’re not in the office, configuring profiles. The problem is with contacts. I have copied the contacts of the GAL in their personal folders, but the user...
Hi guys,
Thank you for your suggestion Ddiamond. We did not purchase Oracle support so I’ll start with that.
SantaMustafa, I got your point, no need to apologise. These situations happen so often that I’m used to it, and I guess it doesn’t happen only with computer guys. I love my job, but...
The thing is that with Oracle I feel like an alien on earth. I even don't know what information to give about the problem except the symptoms:-(
I wrote in this forum hoping that someone with experience on Oracle will give some kind of advice.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Hi, I have no experience at all with Oracle, though my boss asked me to solve a situation that involves Oracle, since there's no one else around to do it. We're using it with FieldView to enter data for some wells, and somehow in the last week the operator that uses the software can not access a...
We had kind of the same problem once setting up the file server. We solved it by changing permissions on the root folder properties, sharing (NOT SECURITY). Give domain users there the permission to make changes. This will allow those who have write permission (set on the security tab) to...
A second thought:-)
about my problem, the reply of mardmac in the thread "Hide from Address List taking AGES to update GAL" is very helpful. It worked fine.
I have a similar problem. The address of one of the users appears only in the group of local users’ addresses and not in the GAL. Strange though, this address of this user appears in the global address list of the administrator mailbox, while other users can not see it. Please help.
Thank you Iain,
I don't use RAS, but I'll make some changes anyhow. Just reconfigured the firewall and I'm running the Security Analyser. Very helpful, thank you.

yes, I have checked the IMS properties. There are no filters there are not filters there. As for the other domain, since our e-mails end there sometimes, I don't think they have such filters for our domain.
Hi, I'm having this problem with send e-mails to a specific domain. I receive the message:
The following recipient(s) could not be reached:

The recipient name is not recognized
The MTS-ID of the original message is: c=x;a= ;p=x;l=x

most of the clients use XP, but there are also Win2000 Professional.
The changes on folder permission look random. Every client has a read permission for the parent folder, and different permissions for the subfolders, and they change all. I just don't understand it.
hi,
I'm using a Windos NT 4, SP 5. In one drive I have a shared folder and different users have diffrent level of access in the subfolders.
