Email address not shown in Global Address book.

I am experiencing a problem where the email addresses in the Global address book in Exchange 2003 are showing up as organization, organizational units, containers, etc. If you preview the query that generates the address book in the System Manager, the correct email addresses appear. Has anyone ever experienced this, and can you tell me what the fix is?
Any information you can provide is greatly appreciated.

I have a similar problem. The address of one of the users appears only in the group of local users’ addresses and not in the GAL. Strange though, this address of this user appears in the global address list of the administrator mailbox, while other users can not see it. Please help.

about my problem, the reply of mardmac in the thread "Hide from Address List taking AGES to update GAL" is very helpful. It worked fine.
