How would you go about saving all the Windows 98 updates to a cd?
I installed Win98 all important updates while I still was on DSL. Now that I am unemployed and can't afford hi speed internet it would be a real drag if I ever have to reinstall. Seems like it would take really long time to DL...

A few years ago I learned {finally} the best way to install Win 98 was to copy the Win98 folder from the CD to the C drive and then run setup.exe from the hard drive.

Our small office network has ten PCs and one server all running Win2K pro. The server has 10 user accounts set up.

I am trying to find out why a Dell with WinMe won't restart when using the restart option. The shut down option works fine.
The restart option does work when in safe mode.

Problem solved!
It was the McAfee firewall.
That was the of the things that was disabled in msconfig so I thought that it wasn't the problem.
Uninstalled the firewall and everything works fine

using domain names as well as IP addresses
different cables
different ports in the hub; hub is working; two other computers are using same hub no problem
Norton AV shows no virus
upgraded IE Explorer from 5 to 6
