    4602 IP Phone transfer issue

Hi, We are using an IP412 with version 3.0 software loaded, and a mixture of 4620 and 4602 phones. With the 4602 phones, I have found that to allow call transfers, the A and B buttons need to both be configured as 'Appearance'. Is there a way around this, as I would really like to have the B...

    IP Office 3.0 SourceNumber issue

Hi, I just upgraded an IPO to version 3.0, and all went ok. Only problem is now users have to type in their extension and password to collect voicemail, even when in sourcenumbers i have V[extn]. e.g V5311 The site has 45 IP handsets, 2x35 x 4602SW and 10 x 4620sw. Running voicemail pro...

    IP Phone

Yep. Thats how I do it at home. I have a complete Class C subnet running at home routed via VPN to the office. All of our other routers are aware of this subnet. This way I can have many seperate devices on my home network, individually addressed, and all able to talk to the work network.

    IP Phone

bigjohn, As the phone is connected to a completely different interface on your PC, e.g you have the wireless interface connected to your work, and the ethernet port is not, i'm not sure if it is going to work so easy. When you connect via VPN, your PC is assigned an IP address from the other...

    IP Hardphones over Wireless LAN

We are also in the same boat, we run a wireless WAN over about 13km, using higher powered 'Waverider' 2.4ghz gear. The radios are 11mbit, and we get about 6mbit of solid throughput out of them at the ethernet port(they are not 802.11 standard), which is good for an 11mbit radio. Our problem is...

    4602 SIP Firmware

The IPO does not support SIP at all, Avaya are falling behind on this one. If you change the firmware on the phone to SIP, you cannot use it with the IPO. However, you can use it Avaya Communication Manager, and other SIP servers such as the open source PBX, Asterisk. Actually works quite well...

    4602SW lockups

I'm using G711 Alaw. The phones definately support this codec. I dont think it would be an Audio codec issue, as the problems happen when the phone is idle, long before any audio codec is negotiated.

    4602SW lockups

Has anyone had any problems with the 4602SW phones and IP office. We run a mixture of 4602SW and 4620SW phones, and an IP Office 412, and we have some issues with only the 4602SW. When used offsite, ie, in another subnet accross a WAN link, talking to the IP412 across the WAN link (8mb...

    4602 SIP Firmware

CaNiBuS, Welcome to my world! Exactly the situation that I am in. Have been mildly pissed off with Avaya for announcing that SIP firmware is available for the 4602SW, when in actual fact it wasnt yet. I haven't checked lately but it should be on their website within the next few days. DO NOT...

Make IP Office look like Key System

Maybe a feature of SIP? I'm not sure what exactly what a key system means (my background is IP, not telephone systems). I know SIP support will be in release 3.0, so maybe SIP operates more like a key system?
