Does anyone know how to get a Citrix Metaframe XP 3.0 on windows 2000 to play audio in windows media player. It plays videos but when I try to play any audio MP3 etc it says that the server does not have a sound card, which is true. I was hoping that since they fixed the video to make it...
The issue was with the Local Host cache of the server the published application was pointing to. It was handing out the address of 0.0.0.0 after shutting down the IMA and running dsmaint recreatelhc the server is access able again.
I am receiving an error CSG3208 Unable to resolve name [0.0.0.0]on the server side and There is no route from the Citrix SSL Relay to the Specified subnet address (SSL error 37) The problem occurs when I add a published application and only with that published app nothing else. The problem...
I have the IE issue on one of my boxes. What DLL's did you copy to the DLLcache folder to get rid of the IE problem?
Thanks in advance for you help with this...
The logic seems sound with the exception of the fact that users can sit is an active idle state indefinitely unless you set parameters for idle timeout... If you have load balancing capabilities you can create a server load evaluator that shows full load when a single user is logged on...
If anyone was curious here is the answer I got from the Citrix forum...
For each farm, you can list multiple XML brokers. If the "Use list for load balancing" box is not checked, then WI will always use the first server for all XML communication (unless it fails, then it tries the...
Yes that is true, but I was hopeing to get a better view as to how the server is chosen to do that enumeration... When the web interface is managing several farms how does it choose which server in which farm will be used to provide the "bouncing" of the credential information. I...
You can tell the server itself to stop mapping all of the client drives in the citrix connection configuration window (its the little hammer icon on the xp taskbar) or in module.ini you can list b in the disabled drives line on each and every client.
Hope that helps,
I have a Citrix Secure gateway/Web Interface 2.0 server that allows access to 5 different farms with users in 4 different domains. When the web interface needs to check your domain logon credentials how does it select the server that will query the domain? The Web Interface is in the DMZ so it...
The Secure Gateway needs to be accessed by a Web Interface/NFUSE site and will only connect you to published applications. The web interface will use a win32 citrix client, a citrix web client etc. Does that answer your question?
The only realy reason they would see the other users printers is if they are administrators/power users on the Citrix box (Not a good idea...) or if the printers are setup globally and are not autoconfigured upon logon ie if the user logs off and the printers stays visable.
Hope that helps,
Modifing the script itself is the only way I know of but is easy enough to do keying on variables like this the out of the dos batch
if not "%WINSTATIONNAME%"=="" goto tserve
if "%SESSIONNAME%"=="Console" goto NT_XP (XP uses sessionname variable but it is...
I would guess the answer would be NO, The citrix server session has connectivity to the local client but the local client knows nothing of the drives or printers on the server. If you are using a VPN connection you should be able to map the printer to the local client without Citrix getting...
Difficult to troubleshoot without more information but here we go anyway... Local server drive letters and local client drive letters will alway take precedence over mapped drives. These are usually C:, D:, M:, N:, and O: so if your DFS is attempting to use one of these letters you will have to...
I was wondering if anyone knows how to tell a single server to not use terminal server profiles. I have an application that requires installation on C: no matter what so a new Citirx server was built to house this app. My general purpose desktop published app is load balanced between 5 servers...
You can look here for some information on CA's http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;231881
If you have Citrix Metaframe XP advanced technical Design Guide by Brian S. Madden on page 665 he has a step by step guide on how to set one up.
Hope that helps,
I have this problem from time to time with Windows 2000 and service pack 4. Service pack 4 screws up the printer enumeration process and logoffs take a long time up to 60 seconds and the users profile is not saved. I see userenv 1000 errors in the application event log when this happens. The...
I think the two of you were on different wavelegnths... Justyn was talking about syncronizing email and Bran2235 was talking about connecting to the server with the device and administering it. Sorry Bran2235 the blackberry device is pretty much an email specific light PDA. Mine just so...
In AD there is a terminal services profile tab sorry. If you don't have TS profiles the problem is somewhere else. Do you have these user.domain.000 on both servers? If not then focus on the server with the issue. If it is happening on both its probably a patch you are missing etc. The...
In usermanager for NT 4.0 domain or users and computers for AD choose a user then look at the profiles tab this is the same place you enter the logon script info running usermanager directly from you Terminal Server will expose more of the SAM database... If you have the line populated with...
