The trick is to make the report fail so a scheduled print job will not even try to print. In a suppressed page footer (or somewhere hidden) produce a field that divides by the number of records retrieved. If there is a ZERO record count, you will be trying to divide by 0 which should result in...
Probably a Rookie question...
I installed a web application (operates through ports 80, 6400 and 6401) after installing SharePoint server and I only get HTTP400 errors - page cannot be found.
How do I configure SP to enable this application or how do I open these ports for it to operate?

It doesn't matter if it's an Internet URL link or an internal network UNC style link. If you click on any link it just opens the 'My Documents' folder? But if you copy & paste the link from Outlook to the browser, it works?

Anybody know the cause...
Thanks both of you. I'm not exactly sure which solution fixed it, but I did a detect & repair, but did not see the icon. When I reviewed the properties of the System Tray, the 'New mail notification' icon was set to 'hide'
I have Outlook 2000 installed on an XP box retrieving mail from a POP server. The 'New Mail' icon used to appear in my system tray, but now it doesn't show. Why? Is there a recent patch that has broken this feature? Or is this an XP problem?
Thanks for the suggestion, but I do not have that luxury. It is only a small office with one server and 12 workstations.
I did find a good article on the TechRepublic web site...
Aug 1, 2002: Change The Name Of Your Domain With Minimal Complications"...
I understand using an underscore in your domain name is a no-no, but what are the ramifications if I change it? It is the only server on the network at the moment. Will I have to build my AD again? Will I loose all my users and any security settings? Does this affect any application or services...
When I start Word, Excel, Powerpoint or Access, they open for 2 seconds then close w/o any error messages or any clues!
I did a fresh install of Office 2000 Professional. I tried all applications and they worked OK. Next, I accessed a document attachment through GoldMine (Contact Mgmt app) and...
Did you enable any of the extra Security Options, such as ZoneAlarm? That'll slow ya down for sure! I USED to be a fan of ZoneAlarmPro, but since they upgraded from major version 2 to 3, performance SUCKS BIG TIME.
Do you use a Braodband connection or DSL? Do you use a static or DHCP assigned...
I'm trying to do some remote administration and assign more options in DHCP, but I notice that all the NT4 Workstations are connecting through RRAS to get their IP address for some reason. Why? They are NOT picking up all the options I am assigning, but yet they continue to function with the...
This stupid printer seems to be causing corruption on whatever PC I put it on. I've tried to share it on an NT 4.0 Workstation and a Win2K Pro PC and it fails after a few days. Printing Office apps, but having troubles with AccPac (DOS) printing. Have you ever heard of these problems before or...
This network consists of a single Windows2000 server and all workstations are either NT workstation or Windows2000 Professional. Although each wkstn in question has an HP6p driver installed using the LPT1 port, this old DOS version of Accpac needs a DOS "capture" command.
The login...
All AccPac Plus users print to one printer. That printer is directly attached to an NT workstation PC and shared as "HP6p". The PC has been rebuilt and the PC's name changed. No-one can print from AccPac to that printer now. All other Windows Apps can print to it.
What configuration...
