How do I increase the limit for everyones 'storage space allocation' on there personal site?
Currently, in my site, and my workmates site (both Domain and Sharepoint Administrators) we have 100Mbit according to "View storage space allocation"
Thanks
Is it worth upgrading?
I don't want to go through the hassle of any problems occuring from upgrading.
We are having a couple annoying bugs, but I've yet to see any change notes which will tell me if these bugs are fixed.
The bugs I'm having is, Backups to File System Devices failing...
Yes, there is already a file system device on t he remote machine.
Originally I was just pushing it out remotely, but it was taking to long and running over time periods we didnt want it taking over bandwidth.
Thanks, I'll look into that command.
How does the tape copy command line effect...
We have two file servers for our backups (aswell as tape drives etc). One is local inhouse and one is in one of our data centers.
Nightly I like to dump everything to the local server, and couple times a week I want it to copy what I have on this local server to the remote offsite server...
We want to have two seperately IAS servers for redundancy, all clients will be set to have both servers in there configs.
However, for the life of me, I can't figure out how to replicate radius clients around both servers. So If I add a client in ias_server_1, it'll be in ias_server_2...
How...
We have jumpstart working fine, I'd just like to know.
Is it possible to slipstream gnu tar into it, so any new system we install will automatically have it, and also have `which tar` pointing to the correct GNU version?
Cheers
Count" doesn't let me add machines/objects into the source, only SMB network shares...
So I cant add in my Exchange and MSSQL servers....
Unless Im missing something?
Thanks for the replies.
I'm still kinda confused.
If I only have a single set, with only 7 tapes, I understand how the writing to tapes works. At the end of every week, I can merely run a manually quick erase, and let the backup job continue running.
This I'm fine with :) No media pools...
There isnt anything wrong with the device configuration, or scsi sconnections or terminators, as 'set2' works fine. Only set1 seems to kill things.
Can I just check. Because I have two sets of 7 tapes, all labelled properly (set 1, tape 1, always goes into slot 1 on the auto loader).
Say at...
OK, I've removed all tapes from the Dell 172T Tape Loader, except tape 8 which is my cleaning tape. (consistent at tape 8 for both sets).
Stopped and Started it, now the green button is staying up, but it's still displaying "Tape Engine is initializing..."
We have 2 sets of 7 tapes. One set is fine, and works without a hitch. However, the other set is causing the Tape Engine to not start.
Obviously there is a problem with one of the tapes. When I first imported all the tapes on the Dell 172T (LTO Loader) - It did nothing (said device was busy)...
Is it possible to see the complete size of a backup job before it starts? Possibly even how much it will be when the files are compressed.
I'd like to see how much approximately will be pushed through certain links at certain times of the day. I know the total size will most likely change...
To Backup everyones mailboxes (41GB) It's taking 7 hours, at 98.55MB/Min.
Backing up normal file shares, it's taking 2 minutes to do 1Gb at 456MB/Min.
Whats with this massive difference? It's causing the backups to go for TOO long than we can afford.
Is there a reason for this? Maybe a...
I've setup a weekly offsite network dump of data, got a couple questions.
1) How do Iensure data is being compressed before it goes over the network?
2) On my Brightstor Server, when it does a backup of a remote server using the Windows client, does the data travel from the remote server, to...
One media pool? With 7 tapes in Scratch set and the other 7 in save set? And if I have the retention time as 2 weeks, it'l automatically rotate them as such?
Hi Guys
I got a Dell Powervault 122T tape autoloader, using BrightStor ARCServ 11. The 122T takes 8 tapes.
I got 2 sets of 7 tapes, and one cleaning tape (slot 8).
Basically, I would like to set it up so one set of tapes last 1 week while the other set of tapes represents backups of the...
