I finally got the AA to answer the line again. Reseating it again must have helped, though I'm still not able to pull the diagnostic data from the processor. Strange, but I can fight that another day I suppose...
Thank you all,
klg1
Dexman,
Thank you. I will try your suggestion this evening.
However, just to clarify the computer connection I was referring to in my last post, I've noticed that retrieving the current translation and diagnostic data via the "PC Administration" software (connecting to the processor from a PC...
Dexman,
Interesting. Any thoughts on why I'm not able to retrieve the diagnostic data? I was hoping this data would either rule-in or rule-out something (like a failed HDD, bad slot/carrier, etc.) but I don't really know how exhaustive the data is.
If it is a bad HDD, is this field...
Hello,
I spend a lot of time away from the office, and recently noticed our AA is not answering our calls. While it has been a long time since I set this up originally, in the past 72 hours I feel like I've tried everything to get the config working again. Here is what I have:
5 slot carrier...
Also wanted to add that I tried defaulting the processor in an attempt to clear-up some of the strange symptoms, but this didn't seem to help things.
Thanks!
Partner ACS R7 - power supply believed bad. Phone displays and dialtone goes from quiet to load every few seconds, then repeats, like a capacitor not holding its charge. Intermittent spontaneous ringing. These symptoms on all stations.
I'm willing to replace the power supply to see if that...
Adding to what kwing112000 said, I just want to point out that I had the same Unified Messaging-to-Exchange setup working flawlessly on a Win2k3 box, up until about a year and a half ago, when apparently a Microsoft "fix" clobbered something in Unified Messaging.
I'm sorry to say that I haven't...
Hello,
The team I'm on is coming up to speed on a new CCM implementation. Here is the landscape:
- CCM 5.1
- Third-party e911 alert system implementation in progress - going through QA
- Numerous accidental 911 and 9-911 calls; some will generate alerts, but apparently some do not
- Ongoing...
I also began experiencing a similar problem with UMA on Server 3002 around the same time. Avaya released a note (I'll post the details later) outlining several Microsoft "fixes" and their effects on Avaya software products. Avaya UMA was listed, but the note was not clear which "fix" may be...
Hello,
As a bit of a follow-up to thread461-877620, I'm in search of a Redcom Operations manual for MDX shelves, preferably in electronic format. I've been on Redcom's support site and downloaded their Technical Overview documents, but the Operations manual is supposed to provide the good...
Thanks ITP.
Your suggestion is probably best. Is there some type of impedance-matching device that would go between the AUX jack and the MIC input on a recorder? If so, is there a particular setup you'd recommend?
Thanks again,
klg1
Hello,
Client has a Partner R7 with Partner Messaging R7. A record-a-call button is programmed, and setup on Partner Messaging. Record-A-Call works fine.
The question is - is it possible (through some kind of programming directly from a set, or otherwise) to disable the announcement at the...
I was just going to note that we're running UMA on Exchange 2003 with no problems, but that's already been noted in this thread.
The only peculiarity I've seen (probably has nothing to do with Exchange, but rather, UMA) is that a voice message forwarded from one voicemailbox to another doesn't...
Hi ITP,
Thanks for your feedback thus far. Just to clarify, right now each mailbox # is built the same as the ext. #. We can hit # to login to voicemail when prompted for the extension, no dialing extra digits internally, and the message waiting light comes on when we have a message.
I guess...
Hi ITP,
It's pretty simple - I'm used to 3- or 4- digit extensions, and want to use 3-digit extensions in my office. I recognize this is a workaround of sorts (except that Partner Messaging says it supports up to 4-digit extensions and would never see 1000+ physical ports on a Partner system...
Hello all,
I've been watching the forum for a while - tons of good stuff here. I'm a newbie and I've searched here for the answer to my question; I hope it's not a repeat.
Environment: Partner R7 with 4-port Partner Messaging R7; small office, 1 operator (ext 10) plus 3 physical extensions...
