Have always pressed ok and went ahead and programmed with WinSPM when this came up, but now I have a customer that wants to restore a backup to a spare processor as a backup processor to have on site. I don't know why, he just wants it. After backing up the existing processor to a hard drive...
I have an older ibm thinkpad 390e. It was used for the serial port to inter face to phone systems. I got a hold of a docking station to charge the battery from and dock to internet but cannot get the docking station to work. I have formatted it and reloaded an xp os on it. It originally had...
...call with multiple outside parties? I have a Magix with TDL and ETR extentions that is requesting a poly for a conference table. I cannot seem to make the call and transfer it to an analog poly or put the conference call on hold and then pick it up via *9-ext. no.
Any ideas?
Thanks guys,
John
I can not seem to remember. It has been a while since I have used it, and a question came up today. Does the SMDR log the incoming caller ID?
Thanks in advance.
Big John
Calls are being transfered to extensions from the AA. The extensions are forwarded to speed dials feature 80-83 on each of the extensions. When call is transferred, call goes out but caller hears nothing (dead air). When caller hangs up, the outgoing line stays lit (off-hook), busying out the...
Customer site is in CA. I am remotely supporting the system. The customer is reporting volume issues on calls, both in and out bound calls. It is not consistent. 1 out of 3. The site is a Magix R4.0 V7.0. They are using a T1 for outbound and a pool of 5 pots for inbound BTN. I have actually...
Just wanting to check to see if I am thinking right on this one. I am working on a system with :
Slot # 0: CKE5 CPU
Serial Number Not Available
A Slot # 1: 412 LS-TDL
A Serial Number 131630601150
A Slot # 2: 412 LS-TDL

They are in a pool but I removed one of them and assigned it directly to the phone to test if that were the case, and it still would not allow me to dial in the line port number.
I have tried a number of things. Pool of 8 lines is assigned to the phone as an Immed. ring. I even tried to assign the lines out of a pool directly to the phone. When I type the line port number to assign principle user, it just dings at me. Any ideas?
Thanks,
John
I still don't get why there are so many Group 1 Senders. It usually only is the operator listed there. I don't think I have seen this in the entire 12 years I have worked on this platform.
I have a cover gp 30 that's print looks like this.
A Group # 1 Senders : 8246 8248 8255 8252 8253 8254 8256 8257
A VMail Cover Senders: 4870 8757 8001
I have never seen a list of senders like that on the first line. That has always been the operator extension number...
you must set up the same delete and add to the dial plan routing patterns.

I have a customer who has a Magix R4 V7, and a MMessaging. It was working. Now when calling the AutoAttendant, you cannot dial anything. It just keeps playing the greeting. Could someone please remind me of the ttr testing procedure? I haven't used it in @ 3 years.
Thanks,
John
I have seen quite a large number of the old R1 and R2 modems go out. I have used this as an excuse to upgrade the processors for the customers at a minimal expense in order to save myself the hassle of the run, run, run, for little remote access issues. CKE4 processor modules that have R7...
Hi guys,
I have been doing the Merlin thing for about 11 years. In this time, I have worked for various authorized business partners/dealers, and eventually went solo. I am trying to move forward into the IP Office market. There are not many good telecom/IP guys in my area. Could someone tell me...
Success! Thanks for the post. I was working with the customer this morning. The cable was bad. The programming was good. One of the fiber "converters" were bad. If I were on site, I could have varified all of this rather quickly. I got the impression that he was reluctant to do the...
Sorry, the previous post would not let me continue...
The customer wants to connect the 2 magix system over fiber. Currently, the systems are sitting side by side for preprogramming and testing. He has fiber modems to do the trans/recieve between building that are across the parking lot from...
