We finally had to install 1xp on a different machine than the VMPro server. It's mostly ok, but we still have issues with having to restart Outlook to get Call Assistant to update itself.
Life was so much simpler with Phone Manager Pro.
Greetings All,
I'm trying to get an analog cordless extension to cover for a fleet manager's desk phone using Coverage or Bridged buttons and I can't get it to respond. I just noticed that internal twinning might be a possibility, one I haven't tried yet. I even tried using group cover with...
Thank you amriddle01. I suppose that's true for many. However, I still have customers using 406v2s and running R4.2. One is a medical facility that is just now transitioning from 4412Ds to 5420s. Phone systems in my world tend to hang around for a long time, 10 and sometimes 15 years, and...
I'm wondering if anyone else has had this experience. In the last few years I've installed IP Office systems and used a mix of 5420s and 2420s at several sites. While the 5420s seem to work and sound perfect, not all but a significant portion of the 2420s seem to have a lot of "surf and wind"...
I uninstalled 1XP, then reinstalled it with the 8080 port changed to 8084, which wasn't on the ports list previously. There was no hint of Tomcat, just standard 404 error screen, site not available. I'm starting to wonder if this is related to IIS. IIS has been installed but I'm still waiting...
Thanks for the reply. That sounds logical. Is there a standard alternate port number for that function? Can it just be anything not already in use? We knew we could change 2 of the port numbers during the install process.
Thanks again.
It's Windows 2008 Server, I think it's 64 bit too. Big rack mount Dell Power Edge with 4 solid state drives in a Raid array. I'm pretty sure it's also VM ware.
I'm not sure this matters, but we installed the portal on the same server as VMPro and ContactStore, on the C: drive. ContactStore...
Greetings all.
I met with my customer's IT guy today and we attempted to install the One-X Portal on this new 9.1 system. The install seems to go well with no apparent hiccups. We waited for more than an appropriate time for the service to finish starting, and tried to log in with the browser...
LOL! It's funny cuz it's all too familiar. [smile]
Thanks all. The trial version idea sounds like a winner.
Regarding the R10 issue, is the IPOSS service available to any but Business Partners? I presume it's expensive.
Thanks again.
Thank you intrigrant. I'm glad to know I'm not the only one who's confused. ;)
While Phone Manager Pro licenses are no longer available, The Teleworker licenses for R6+ seem to still be around and I think those are the ones that will work with R8.1. I'm still digging, but that's where I've...
Greetings all,
Is it possible to setup a new IP Office as R8.1 with Phone Manager Pro licenses? I guess the real question is, "is it practical?"
I get the impression from my research so far that Avaya did an EOS in the summer of '09 for Phone Manager Pro, but that same document seemed to...
Thank you derfloh. That's good news about Call Assistant.
It's a fairly small company. About 16 regular phones which goes up to 24 during peak season. They're a limousine company that records every phone call and reviews the recordings to ensure the details are correct. The Call Assistant...
Thanks for the response derfloh. That's good to know. I'm guessing that the "Provider" system doesn't need the Web Voicemail for the Call Assistant function?
Greetings All,
Originally, all I wanted to do was have Phone Manager Pro for some of the staff on a new system I've installed. I thought about down grading to R8.1 from R9.1, which is how the equipment came. But, I was led to believe that license availability might be an issue in the near...
Thanks everyone, that did the trick. Rebooting the server alone, which I tried first, didn't work. So, I rebooted the IP Office then the server and it worked.
Thanks again. [thumbsup]
Thanks for responding. No, the notification is in the ContactStore window when your logged into it via browser. It's a notification that the timer is running on the free 90 day trial.
There is no trial license to delete. I never installed one, only the ContactStore license I mentioned. ContactStore will run without a license for 90 days from install. I can attach a picture of the license page that I took earlier, but it shows the key number and maybe that's not...
