Aux port on Partner ACS 18D

Hi, It has been my understanding that I can use the AUX port next to the line port for analog devices. I plugged in a fax machine into the AUX port, came off hook with the handset and drew dial tone on Line 1. Then I sent a fax, the fax machine tried to draw dial tone but landed on the line 1...

Hunt groups are circular. The 1st call will go to the lowest numbered extension. Subsequent calls go the extension AFTER the one that answered the last call. What happens to the extension when he or she with the lowest numbered extension hangs up. Do the next incoming calls go around in a...

Partner Extension Calling from Auto Attendant

I would like to make Extension 10 take all calls after being transferred by the voice mail system. If the Voice Mail System transfers the first call to Ext 10 and a second caller is transferred to Ext 10, what happens. Can I set it up that all calls come to Ext 10 only. I have a Partner R4.0...

Partner II Expansion processor won't power up

Are you saying that it will power up without the primary processor. I was lead to believe that the primary processor had to send a command by way of the interface cable to turn it on. Can I plug a power cord directly to the expansion processor?

Partner II Expansion processor won't power up

I have an expansion processor that won't power up. I powered up the expansion carrier first, then the primary cabinet second. The LEDs on the expansion processor come on for fifteen seconds and then go off. I have a full compliment of modules in the primary cabinet, a 206 (that test good) in...

Partner Voice Mail VS R4.0 Hunt Group or Call Group

A medical clinic. Five incoming lines, five call takers, ext 10, 12, 14,16 and 18. I would like them to take incoming calls one a time (as directed by the voice mail system, (push 6 to make an appointment)) spread over the five extensions. If all call takers are tied up with the five incoming...

    The differences between PCMCIA cards

Hunt groups for Partner Mail VS R4.0

If I have a group of five call takers, is it better to put the five call takers (extensions) in a Hunt group or a calling group? Then assign a selector code to get to the group?

Hunt groups for Partner Mail VS R4.0

I would like to create an Extension Hunt Group. I would like to have a selector code ring into that group from the outside. Three questions, first the first extension that I put into the group will be the first that receives the call followed by the subsequent extensions, ie, first listed...

Selector codes for Partner Mail VS R4.0

I'm confused about Selector codes. The book has the range of extensions for selector code 1 as 10-19, 20-29 for selector code 2, et cetera. What is the relationship between selector codes and range of extensions? I have a client with a Partner II, he has enough 206 modules to go out to extension...

    The differences between PCMCIA cards

I acquired an ACS Processor R3.0. It had a Remote Access PC Card. Does it have backup and up grade capabilites other than Remote Access? It only says Remote Access PC Card. On the back it is 108319963 12G1. I purchased a Partner ACS Backup/Restore PC Card, I bought it to upgrade to R6.0, which...

    Music on Hold in ACS

I installed MOH in a R6 ACS. It works fine on hold but not during the transfer process. In the older Partner processors such as 4.0 and 4.1 you had MOH on hold and during the transfer process. Am I leaving something off? Why no volume control on the ACS processor as you do on the R4.0 and R4.1?

    Differences between Partner Cabinets.

I recently acquired a Partner II system. The two cabinets are 103F and 103B5. Is there a difference between the two. They both have the same power backplane. Can they each be used independently?

Partner Voice Messaging PC card (Small)

I installed a ACS Processor R6.0 w/PMPC (Small) for a client. They asked if when retrieving a voice mail message that the opening that says "message received September 18 at 11:30AM" can include the telephone number of the person leaving a voice mail message.
