I had the same problem. CA sent me a fix. We had to replace the asem2.dll in the Arcserve Directory. If you have an email I can mail you the dll.

FYI Someone in one of the other threads regarding this issue talked to CA and they suggested using "Compare Media to Disk" as opposed to the "CRC Check". I tried that but it still crashes at the SYSTEM STATE.
