Tapes do not get moved from scratch set

Hi there,

I am running a basic backup rotation (non gfs), the min number media is set to 3, and retentsion days is set to 5, i am running a two week rota on this media pool, meaning that week 1's tapes will not get used until 14 days have passed, but they are not gettting moved out of the save set, I am able to move them manually without any problems, can anyone shed any light on this matter?

you'd better provide ur software version and patch level since there's known issue of similar symptom and certain patch addresses it.

Here is a discussion for AS2K that fixes the problem in that version.

I have applie the patch and I will wait and we after 5 days whether the tapes get maoved, thanks v.much for all your comments.

By the way I am running arcserve 2000 v7 build 1110 sp5.

Just to give you an update about this case, the tapes are now being moved to the scratch set, so the above resolve works for me, great news, thanks very much.
