Hello,
I currently have a Windows 2000 domain and I am running Exchange 2000. I have a total of 2 servers, one is the PDC and the other is in the domain running Exchange 2000. I am going to upgrade to Exchange 2003 and I want to run this on a fresh install of Windows Server 2003.
I am planning...
Which server has the connector installed? Try using the smtp connector with exchange 2003 and uninstall the internet mail connector in exchange 5.5. Ensure that the internal dns and your firewall all point to the ip of the new exchange 2003 server and not the old 5.5 one...

Hello, I have a user that already has ACT 6 for palm installed on his palm pilot with data. I then installed the ACT 6 on to his windows xp pc that he already hotsync's with. Due to the fact I want to sync that palm data with a new ACT database he has created on the desktop I am unsure of the...
You have to create the mailbox from the server running Exchange in AD users and computers, there the exchange tasks are in full mode... do not create a user from another server if you wish to also create a mailbox.

I had this same problem and I turned off the ndr's and other notifications to the internet, restarted the services (most people forget to do this) and my problem was resolved this way.
Hello,
Try telneting to the other company mail.buffnet.net 25 and see if you can pass mail via telnet... that will confirm a smtp problem or exchange...
Is your domain black listed with the company in question?
Thanks for your quick reply... When I try to enumerate I just get a message: Enumerate messages from the queue node and I am simply right clicking on the branch name of the queue beneath the queues on the left hand pane of the screen... Am I in the right place?
Where do I go to to turn off...
Hello,
Can anyone tell me how to simplify my queue listing in Exchange 2000. I am seeing nearly 300 domains that I do not recognize and all discuss enumerating messages when I go into each queue. I cannot seem to get this list of queues back down to the "normal" amount...
I have no reason to...
Hello,
My problem is that I cannot get mail to pass quickly between two Exchange 2003 servers on the same subnet. The servers point only to themselves with no forwarders for DNS resolution and use root hints to deliver mail to the outside world. Clients have no issues with being able to talk to...
Yes, I will create the groups in AD and add the members into the appropriate group.
I guess my question pertains more to how to grant permission to members of a group to prevent them from not being able to go into other users folders, or preventing them from even seeing other users directories...
Hello,
I am moving a folder structure of user data that contain user directories and then departamental directories. I also have some applications that run locally on the client pc's but point to a data dir on the server.
I am posting this to get popular opinon of the best way to setup the...
You reference these items:
DSCLIENT

Where are these items downloadable from? Microsoft? Just want to make sure I get the right source.
Thanks
Great... you are really helping me out... Does this work on Windows 98-winxp clients or just win2k and higher?
Regarding sync-ing the time... does this work on all the clients as well? Doesn't the login process with win2k and higher clients automatically sync the time when they log in? Or is...
How does this look...
So when the user logs in, this script gets run, it clears any mapped drives that already exist, then it looks up in AD what user group he/she is in runs the map drive command and then installs a printer for them?
q1. what happens if a printer already exists for that user...
How much would you charge to change my novell script into a WSH script?
I simply don't have time... ;) or the scripting experise.
I can paypal you $. I don't think it would take long.
I would like to have you write it and then I'll try it on the domain. I'd like to setup variables such that in...
