Active Directory Question?

Add XP to 2nd drive in machine with W2K and CRASH only on W2k!!

i think the reason that your newly partioned drive couldn't be used was because of the SID (security ID) If you format a drive under 2k or XP it will put that systems SID into the filesystem, so it can be used for protecting ACL resources. so when you try to install a new os it will find an sid...

    HP Jet Direct

Strangely, it seems that when the printer is shared using MS file/print sharing the print server (that is the windows box rather than the jet direct) needs to have its parallel port set to “Bi-Directional ECP” mode even though neither the printer, nor anything else is connected to it. Perhaps...

    HP Jet Direct

not really a VB problem i know, so forgive me if you feel this post is out of place. After receiving our new HP Laserjet 4100DTN, and downloading the "Printer Status & Alerts" application from HP, it seems that the JetDirect servers are able to advertise the level of consumables...

Does XP have IIS or PWS?

Ok, now i'd just like to say that i have not tried this, and therefor am not certain that this will work (I've got XP Pro) but i have a suspicion that this 'Could' work (its the same prinicple that you have to use when uninstalling that darn windows messenger!!! ;o) Apparently IIS is on the XP...

Does XP have IIS or PWS?

i cant see any reason it should, the two OS's should happily sit side by side with no interaction between them, however it would be easier to install a third party WWW server, than tempt fate by running two Microsoft OS's! ;)

Does XP have IIS or PWS?

jackals... i'd be very concerend about running a mish-mash of files from different os's to get IIS running!!! if you only want PHP, and MYSQL you could try apache, but if it comes to it you can still run Chilli ASP! http://httpd.apache.org/docs/windows.html
