For ePo Orchestrator, i think it impossible to install it silently.

I also have this problem
It was with the version 3.0.1.
I think it resolve with the version 3.5 Patch 2
The only solution i found against this, is restart the ePo Server service.
So i made a batch script which restart the service every night.
Check the account credentials use to run the service.
It must be a domain admin i think..
Check the SQL or MSDE database integrity. Perhaps is tah database corrupt....
Are the SQL services started ?
we use ftp repositories on unix and ms servers.
I have 30 repositories.
It works perfect, client goes to connect there to make the update, and also product upgrade (vs451 to vs71).

I have some little problems, but i think they were resolved in the version 3.5 patch 1.
For me, the best way is :
a batch script to shutdown the services ePo and SQL server.
Copy the directory that cotains the database on another computer of on a DAT.
With this way, your are an offline backup of your ePo database.

You don't must reinstall it again, but you must execute the superdat file with the "/f" argument on each one manually, or with a batch file (logon script).
So : sdat4367.exe /F will force the installation of the last scan engine.
I encounter this problem today on a few windows 95 with virusscan 4.5.1 SP1.

your new server must have the same name than the old ePo Server, and also the same IP.
If you have an offline backup of your database, try to restore it.
We use ePo 3.0.1 Server with SQL Server. We managing more than 7500 clients.
Our ePo server is a dedicated server, but it is running on the same server than SQL Server.
The server is a bi-P3 Xeon 1.1 Ghz with 2.7 Gb RAM and it's works really fine :-).
