epo server service

I get the following eror when I try to start thr epo server service:
"Could not start the Mcafee ePolicy Orchestrator 3.0.1. Server service on Local Computer Error 2147500037: Unspecified Error"

Any ideas?

Check the account credentials use to run the service.
It must be a domain admin i think..

Check the SQL or MSDE database integrity. Perhaps is tah database corrupt....

Are the SQL services started ?

The SQL service are running. I've been using an account with Domain User rights, but it's been working for over a year. It just stopped working recently. I've changed the password,but that didn't help.

Searching McAfee's free support site for "Could not start" returns a few results relating to ePO 2.51 and 3.50. I know this isn't the version you run, but the articles describe problems starting when either the OS or database password has been changed.

Might be worth a look to see if they can apply to your situtaion.

It turned out that someone had changed the SQL Database password. I reset it and now it workes fine. Thanks for your help.
