I have done this setup for the week-end :
High water mark 80%
Low water mark 45%
recover space interval 40 minutes
file system check interval 25 minutes
Hope it helps to solve my problem because the both intervals was defined as 4 and 3 hours.
Thank you for the advice, I will first try to decrease intervals at about 20 minutes et also decrease the high water mark to 80% instead of 90% to keep more space available when staging starts.
Is that the right way ?
Sometimes staging starts during the backup are writing to the same volume the backup are stopped until enough place is free again on the disk volume.
Is it possible to avoid this ?
If not is it a good idea to force staging during the afternoon to free enough space for the next night backups ...
The migration do not change the settings of the notification :
/bin/mail -s "Savegroup completion" networker@eca-vaud.intranet
only the content of the mail has changed !
We just migrate our server and storage nodes to version 7.6 sp1 and we have now also some clients installed with this version.
The savegroup completion notice of these clients are now sended as attached files and not anymore as plain text mail. I have developped a macro which analyse the...

I found a solution by changing the clone storage node value usinig nsradmin. Before the weekly cloning, define the value that the clone storage node is itself and after the cloning is done, redefine the parameter as the other storage node.
1) before weekly cloning : nsradmin -i filename_a...
I try this and it does not work because each storage node has the other as "cloning node" in the client configuration. Therefore the second storage node ask for a cartridge of the weekly pool and it do not have one.
I have 2 storage nodes Windows 2003 and a Linux server. Each storage node has a library (30 slots, LTO4) but one is in a distant computer room. Daily cloning is done in a crossing manner because the clone cartridges stay in the libraries. But weekly cloning may be done on the only storage node...
We have offten the backup of our Oracle database (cold backup) that is suspended the time to stage older savesets to tape.

After some server crash as Networker 7.2 start saving, we have now a stable Netware Cluster 6.5 during the backups.
But, the save.nlm (command save -c cluster_object) make allways full backup. The savegroup completion notice say "incr" but the backup is fullsize and the performance is poor...
We are using Linux servers as Networker Servers (2) and Linux servers (intranet, firewall) as clients. We are using Redhat 7.3 and Networker 6.1.2 build 340. The Networker servers are connected to EMC Symmetrix systems via Fiberchannel using Qlogic 2200 hba's. We do not have any problem making...
We are using one L40 and now a L20 as secondary library. Both are connected to Linux servers (Redhat 7.3) installed on Compaq proliant servers (ML370 and DL380). Both libraries have 2 SLDT drives. The L40 is working since july at great satisfaction. We are able to save up to 25 GB per hour using...
I'am installing a library STK L20 on Linux Redhat 7.3 and Networker 6.1.2 build 340. The Cleaning cartridge seems to be in slot 1 instead of 19 (last slot), is it normal ? I had to change the autochanger settings !
Thank you in advance
