Hi,
I have installed the Diskbackup Module for Networker 7.2 for Unix. I use normal file typ (not advanced).
I have created 6 Volumes, (2 for FS, 2 for DB and 2 for Archive) I created the pools, the label templates and the clients. Then I labeled the volumes for the pools.
Now I have some questions:
1.) Is there a possibility to limit the disk space which will be used for the backup in the Networker? Can I limit the space by adding a script and using unix tools?
2.)I put the retention and browse policy to 1 week. But it seems the Networker puts different times to the volumes, up to two weeks.
3.)Is there a way to switch to the next volume within a pool. So e.g. when a certain amount of data is reached.
4.)Is it possible for all pools to end up with the same expiration date? Is there a difference if I start the job manually?
Someone mentioned a paper from emc where more details for diskbackup are given (in the admin guide it's really short). I couldn't find this thing... Can someone email it to me?
Thanks
Toby
