Simon,
Thanks very much for your efforts, I will pass this on straight away. I probably felt the same way as yourself but your first hand experience (as an experienced engineer) is invaluable.
I was slightly concerned that it may be just another rip-off organisation from reading other...
As far as I can make out it is the A+ suite of exams plus the guarantee of a job at the end of the course or your money back.
I am slightly sceptical because the jobs they are offering seem to be in the £16,000 region which considering they are in the center of London does not look that...
I have a good friend who has just got his degree and is struggling to get a job in IT support where he thinks he would like to be, mainly due to lack of experience.
He is thinking of spending money on a course with "Just IT" in London...does anyone know of this organisation, good or bad. The...

I have seen articles on this through the Imail forum...I would strongly advise joining this forum, it has taught me so much about Imail and I was starting from scratch.
There are a couple of guys who contribute to the forum who are very helpful although they will expect you to have looked in...

Another really nasty one has just surfaced on one of my customer's systems exhibiting the same symptoms as yours.
This was finally tracked down to a Worm Virus called "W32.OPASERV.H.Iworm" and it will only affect Win 98 and ME users.
It installs many files in the Windows directory...
Do you have the correct IDE cables...cheap 40 pin cables can drag a drive down.
Equally as likely, the RAID utility is not up to date and is miss reporting the actual drive specs. Some bundled on board controllers are older models.
If the system is performing well with no errors in the logs...
Two of the most common startups that we have experienced are "Real Player" and "Newsupd".
Real Player will be evident in your taskbar, the other one is helpfully installed by Creative when you install their sound card. (they obviously assume that everyone is permantely...
All the answers are right...however as a cheaper method carry on backing up your data to another system (assuming files are closed) and use a removable HDD carrier to get the disk off site (which is the important part).
Hard disks are cheap and pretty robust...the Kingston removable bays can be...
I agree...test your backups anyway.
However, the easiest and safest way to transfer data is to hook up your old server(s) onto the network and transfer data that way.
As an OEM of security systems we fit around 50 DD3 drives a month in production...if this symptom persists and a hard reset does not fix it...change the drive.
Depending on the software being used, there will be errors going on in the background that you may not see. These errors can also...
This has happened to us a few times and the first check is the VGA card (as you have done) but if your sure about the PSU then it is normally a faulty Processor that causes this lack of POST and screen activity.
Probably not what you wanted to hear...hope this helps
HOLD ON
I think everyone getting confused...if Jack2003 is trying to fdisk a SLAVE drive all he needs to do, assuming the system is seeing both drives, is run fdisk and select option 5 to change the disk he is working on.
Then he will be able to delete any existing partitions on that drive and...
If an old motherboard...buy a Parallel Printer cable if the printer will support it. Older boards are not as "USB standard" as they would like us to believe.
We have experienced similar problems a couple of years ago when Intel bought out the "PRO 100+ S".
We were using the previous model PRO 100+ and changed to the PRO 100+ S but although Windows seemed happy at first it finally turned out that the drivers are completely new and would...
