Can you get your hands on a Knoppix CD?
If so, will your system boot to the Knoppix CD?
If yes. I can provide enough instructs to get you back to a position where you can re-install W2K.

Please ignore the simplistic nature of this response, but you mention a special character. The = sign placed in a field while in FIND mode will return all records with that particular field empty.

Have same prob. Contacted FM tech support and sales. They advised this situation is known bug and they have no intention of correcting it! Their solution is to upgrade to FM server 5.5. I suppose you could "dumb down" your version of IE but that leaves you/me vulnerable to...

I tried to use the MS support paper echoecho points you toward. My goal sounds like yours: print to a standalone networked printer. I couldn't make it work. I could print to a printer shared on another PC but that was not my goal. If you figure it out please post info.
