I am referring to a support paper from Microsoft's Knowledge Base called "Redirection of LPT Port Not Possible in Printer Properties" which uses the net use lptx command for printing from the DOS window.

I am trying to print out a report from a DOS-based application to a network printer, afterwhich I end up getting the following error on the printout:

ERROR: undefined
OFFENDING COMMAND: ORIGINAL

STACK:

I am using an IBM 4039 LaserPrinter PS printer. Please advise.

Thanks.

Awhitsel,
I tried to use the MS support paper echoecho points you toward. My goal sounds like yours: print to a standalone networked printer. I couldn't make it work. I could print to a printer shared on another PC but that was not my goal. If you figure it out please post info.
Luck
