    Anyone have an idea why? Windows 2k server. Windows xp client. every day, at seemingly a random time and for no apparent reason, just kicks off all clients, forcing a reboot/relogin. Any Ideas?

    in exchange 5.5 is there a way to set up a "default" email account? that is, if the email address doesn't actually exist on the domain, to send it to a specific account that DOES exist? and if so, is there a way to change this once it has been set up? Thanks, Rick

    got the answer thanks to Robert. (kudos, robert) in network and dial up settings, select advanced from the menu, then advanced propererties. move the internal lan up in the ensuing dialog. then make sure you're not trying to register your connection with the dns settings. this did the trick...

    Win2k pdc and bdc, active directory running. For some reason, I cannot log on to the bdc except as administrator. If I sign into the domain from a workstation, I can access resources on the pdc, but not the bdc. Any ideas? Thanks, Rick

    yes. unfortunately, the problem is a new app IS called. just that the file actually never displays. it works fine if you download and double click.
