ATM no I have been discussing this with my vendor and I plan to implement that tomorrow to see if it makes a difference

By default it should go to voicemail if the user has that enabled and they are logged out.
As MattKnight has suggested a fallback group is the solution that works best.

tlpeter - I trust the guys that set it up and I convinced after looking at the set up that there are no inherent issues due to set-up. I have had it confirmed from AVAYA that it is tested but not supported currently.
MattKnight - the more I look at this the more I agree with your point I think...
Thought of that as well just depends on if we want to sacrifice HA for the sake of voice mail may be best reverting to a physical server. Do you know of any issues with running voice mail on a virtual platform?
Cheers!

tecphonelady - same result on playing it straight from the phone. It seems to be random but has got progressively worse its either that or users have started noticing as fault rather than a one off.
gknight1 - Seems like a good suggestion to me, unfortunately my voice mail server runs on a...
Hi Guys
I have an issue with above and it has stumped my vendor and I.
When a voicemail is left and played back parts of the message at random intervals are being cut out. Obviously my first train of thought was a hardware issue but I have pretty much ruled that out. Network is performing well...
Also depends how granular you want to be..... you could turn on circular logging. The downside to this being you cannot replay logs when trying to recover a DB. Upside is no logs hogging your disk space if you do not have a proper backup system in place.

Had same issue a while back.
Normally I would start by sending a month or two of changes... be careful this can cause issues if its a large amount of data so maybe best doing it out of hours.
Then I would change the replication meesage priority to urgent and the replication schedule to always...
I take your point sorry what I should have said is regardless of the time you put in there it doesnt return the call, it just rings out.
Cheers

Seems strange that it would take anytime at all as normally delays are caused when emails are replicated to different stores.
Not sure this will do anything but can you do this as a test?
Use exchange manafer and browse to the public folder instance that the emails are contained in.

Hi KatzEye1
Could I ask for a few details?
Are the users on the same exchange server? If not are the servers local to each other? What is the general size of the emails?

Found the fix for this guys. Turns out that it was calls being transferred via reception (SoftConsole).
There is a setting "transfer return time" which by default has a value in it.
I deleted this value and calls now go on to VM. I confirmed this with our avaya partners and they tested this on...
@ amriddle01 thanks I will give it a go!
@ MattKnight the help option states that it indicates that this end of the call is connected and that the other party on the call is alerting with either a blind transferred call or a transfer return.

Correct running 4.1 (15)
Iam running VoiceMail Pro version 4.1.42.
Are you having DS module and did you upgrade them to 3.2.999 first ? I wasnt too sure about this question so Im going to answer guessing that its meant to say do you have?
I would need to double check that with the...
@ tlpeter

do you have a divert set up to forward somewhere else on no answer in the users' forwarding tab?
There are no forwards setup, verified this with the last user that this particular issue happened with.
