If your gateway is H323 it will always show as unknown. H323 gateways do not register with CallManager like a phone or a MGCP gateway.

What version of IPCC is it? if its 4.0 it sound like the teams are not configured. The sup desktop pulls the team info from the database in IPCC. You may need to login to Appadmin and resetup the teams.

You can, but you would need the high availiblity linsence to make it work. That kind of set up realy needs its own servers to. So, the real answer is no would do not have to.

Had same problem with a gateway that was h323 with FXO.
Its your QOS and CODEC's. Make sure your gateway is hard coded to g711uLaw and get some to look at your QOS.
Raplacing with another vender you will have the same problem unless you fix the QOS.
