Morning :)
This is the scenario: We have a client that wants to forward their incoming calls to another location on demand and to have the night menu play on demand. I was hoping there was a way to have the Inbound Route test (IF...THEN...ELSE) for the two Call Flow Control conditions, but, you...
Good Morning Everyone :)
I was wondering if anyone had any luck in connecting a Panasonic PBX to the UCX?
If so, what type of trunking did you use?
We have a reseller that is currently using the analog port on the BCM to do this and they get constant "crackling" when the clients call each...
The WebRTC client is going to be a "killer app" for the Retail market during Xmas. If you can load a tablet with the POS software, the WebRTC client, and a card swiper attachment, you have a mobile payment solution for linebusting. The line busting agents would need to be in constant contact...
I will deffo check this out with my client, to see if their router supports VLANs.
Interesting you mention that all of your installs are on separate physical networks. We have 2% of our clients that are like this, the rest do not segregate their VOIP/data traffic. We could ask them to...
Hello :)
We have a client that runs Norton Ghost over their network and it kills all of their UCX VOIP traffic.
Is the only way around this:
A) Move the UCX and phones onto a separate subnet and install a router between this network and the main data network
B) Turn on QOS on the main data...
To me, the UCX is more like a toolbox for IP/non-IP telephony than an "Asterisk-based IP softswitch." It's also a constantly evolving work in progress, due to eMetrotel responding to customer feedback and bugs quickly. I'm actually glad I don't have to wait until the next fiscal quarter for...
I remember these phones being demo'ed at the Nortel Campus in Brampton when I was on course there. I was so in love with them, they were so futuristic for the time. They were incredibly expensive though. :( I hope eMetrotel does something to the UCX to allow them to work with it at some point...
I would really like to see a lower-cost call recordings archiving solution. From a small business perspective, the cost of the current archiver would be my entire profit for the month! I feel that this is too high a cost for the small business market. It's even too high a cost for a retail...
I have the voicemail being sent to the email server now by postfix (outlook.office365.com) but it's not able to authenticate. The exact error is "SASL authentication failed; cannot authenticate to server outlook.office365.com" Is this a problem on the email server side or the UCX?
Thanks so...
Hi :) I was wondering if anyone has this feature working with Office 365? I have a customer that was using it with a local Exchange server, then it just stopped working when they switched to Office 365.
Please let me know if you need any info from the UCX.
Thanks :)
There's many enterprise environments that would benefit from the UCX. I wish that the product had the same market penetration in verticals such as retail and government that Microsoft and Cisco have right now.
I'm in the middle of updating all of our UCX clients and this is something that the really hardcore server guys want to know before they will allow me to patch their systems. I'm able to get by with saying "security updates, call processing updates, bug fixes"...but it would be nice to be able...
