Sorry I'm using Win32 (Windows Server 2003) Print Server.
I do know how to pull up a list all the printers from the print server but I would like group them by floor and model number. Maybe this is something that can be done with scripts or a third party tool. Is there anything else out there...
Hi All,
Without using Web Jetadmin does anyone know any tools, utilities, etc that would allow me to do the following:
List all printers on my print server by model
List all printers on my printer server by floor
List all printers on a print servers page counts
I have almost 400 printers on...
I've seen this on my network several times, where I have one computer which responds to two different host names but returns the same IP Address.
I ping this machine by name at "host1" it returns 192.168.1.1
I ping this machine by name at "host2" it returns 192.168.1.1
What is going on! Is...
Thanks for the feedback although I'm familiar with that, I should have been more clear. We will be pushing out XP SP2 via group policy how can I change the installation so that it doesn't include those two components. Other than creating a GPO which will disable those applications.
After upgrading to Windows XP SP2 the service pack has reloaded Outlook Express and Windows Media Player which I don't want. How can I prevent and/or customize the Service Pack upgrade so that those two programs don't show up? Thanks for any tips.
We keep our security very updated, everytime a set of critical updates are issued by Microsoft we implement them on all networked PC's. We also make good use of Firewalls, Websense, and Active Directory group policies. IE is fairly secured as far as the builtin settings but it maybe could be...
I have an Exchange 2000 Server that is working fine within my private domain network, routing messages. how would I configure exchange to accept mail from an additional domain and be sent to my internal clients. I guessing this is something like creating an alias or something. Please forgive me...

We've seen several outbreaks of backdoor.nibu on our networked computers although we are running websense, firewalls, keeping windows patch levels up to date, but of course we run IE6.
I know all about what backdoor.nibu Trojan does to your machine once it gets infected but I'm trying to find...
Very funny. I actually found some solutions based on my situation. I didn't explain the problem properly, sorry about that. This question has been resolved.
Thanks for all the responses fellas, we have recently had these ESD problems with two of our users although the more severe case where the user has destroyed and upwards of 8 or more laptops has kept everybody in my department scratching their heads. The dissipation mat is a good idea, also the...
At my company recently we have had two incidents were the users have touched their IBM thinkpads and fried the motherboards, screens, keyboards, NIC, etc. Pretty much every device is game for being destroyed. There are two offices that have had this problem recently. We have had electricians...
