Tool to detect when TCP/IP Connection Drops!

Is there a simple freeware software utility that can keep track of and tell me when and if my current TCP/IP connection drops off? The tool should be compatible with all Windows OS's including servers. I think I'm having network connection issues and I want to track it down. Thanks for any tips.
