    These drives can and will fail, if a reboot of the system does not solve the issue it will need to be replaced. I have replaced many of them.

    Use a cable lubricant to ease the pull, the jacket on fiber is not the slickest and the lubricant will help if you have to make any corners in the pull.

    Calls do not drop after a person leaves a message on VM

    I am using a partner mail vs and when a call is answered and a message is left the caller hangs up but the phone system does not. It records the sound of a line off the hook for about a minute or more. Anyone have any suggestions?

    The paperwork that goes with a vs5 does not take into account the extension changes on an acs r7 so the correct mail ext's are 23 and 24 not 22 and 23. Thanks for your help Dexman another respose from you on another thread helped me solve my issue.

    You will need to replace the drive with a similar drive , load the bootdisks and then the cd software and then do a restore from your backups.
