I have an Audix version4.0. i have errors on my MO Drive and when i status it comes up out of service. Is there anything i can do to put it back in service and clear the errors?

These drives can and will fail, if a reboot of the system does not solve the issue it will need to be replaced. I have replaced many of them.

If this unit is a Definity Audix, you must use the Command "add mo-disk" to install and mount the device anytime the disk is removed/replaced. This configures the disk and adds a volume label. If the unit was powered off or removed incorrectly it will automatically unmount the device. The reverse command is "remove mo-disk", this unmounts and ejects the disk. Until this is done the system will report "device not administered". The same applies to the Definity Audix with a tape drive. You must perform the command "add tape" before it will perform its scheduled backups.
