This other forum may be better for answers, but thanks so far for your help!
Hi,
We have a laptop that works fine on it's own network, but as soon as you introduce it to another network (be it 3G with a VPN or on another customer's network), the machine hangs for about 20-30 minutes.
During this time the CPU is pretty much 98 idle and there are no apps running.

The laptop is set to acquire an IP automatically, but it should not hang for this amount of time. The machine is completely unresponsive.
Plus, if the machine was looking for a DHCP server and could not locate one, it would assign itself an APIPA and would then only try to find another DHCP...

Thanks to everyone! We managed to do this.
So simple really... it seems the simple solutions often evade us when we are looking for complicated answers!
Many thanks for you quick reply!
The main problem we have is that there are about 2000 odd emails that this info needs to be extracted from... Doing one at a time is very daunting! :-)
A colleague has sent individual emails to about two thousand people about an event via Microsoft Outlook 2003. Those sent emails are held in their sent folder (pst).
I've just found out that my colleague has done it the (very) hard way. I'd like to help them out before they have to send the...
Many thanks for this guys! I can see now that there is no way of changing this, although I have no idea why it didn't appear in the old profile but suddenly does in the new.
The only related install that happened is Outlook Connector was re-installed...!
Anyway, I now have a Microsoft page...
Thanks for your replies! I will try the 'fix' today %-) and fingers crossed!
The machine is running Outlook in Corporate Workgroup mode.
I will keep you updated! Many thanks!
If you open the address book through the tools menu, you need to go to advanced and ensure that all defaults are pointing to the correct contacts list.
I hope this helps! If not, let me know as I am not at my machine and unable to get the exact steps to fix this (doing it from memory!)
Good luck!
This doesn't seem to make any difference unfortunately, although thanks for your help!
I am still getting grief over this one, does anyone else have any ideas?
I know it is trivial, but it makes no sense why this isn't fixable!
Hi, thanks for your reply.
The customer who is using the machine is not happy with the word "Email" appearing at the end of every address in the address book.
The main reason for this is because when they were using a different profile, this did not happen. They are still using the same...
Hi there,
I have a machine that has Office 2000 SR1 installed. The machine was used by a user with no problems but after they were joined onto another domain (user profile then copied over), the contacts in the address book have suddenly gained the word: (Email) at the end of each entry. This...
Hi there,
I have a customer with a Mac who is unable to see a 10% tint when using Adobe.
The whole screen seems to have been ‘bleached’ of colour, not just within Adobe…
I have changed the monitor, VGA cable and the graphics card, but nothing seems to be working. They have gone through the...
I guess a trick around this could be to paste it into microsoft front page first, then go to the HTML page and you will have all of the website code in there, although again this would depend on the website you were trying to paste it into and the nature of the formatting.
