This is really confusing me.
I have an analogue phone which when completely disconnected still manages to pass test #48(station present test).
Any idea why ?
configuring a hotdial on another key is totally doable, have quite a few setup like this at my site. For the incomming DID could you use a tranlation patten and translate it to the 'hotline' ext num at the phone end.
Guys
I seem to be having a problem in that any changes that are made to call manager do not seem to be reflected on the actual devices. It seems like the database replication is a bit screwed between the pub and sub.

Is there any way of getting a number to call forward WITHOUT coverage.
for example I want to manually call forward a number that has no mailbox to a number that is call forward always to voicemail only and would like it to go to this mailbox and not the original called numbers mailbox. It...
update on this. It seems it was the CTI route point that wasn't registered. Have now got this registered and it is working.
This all seems very complicated to achieve something very straightforward. oh well, gonna go and make all the CSS changes I need to apply this and go live.
still cannot get this to work, missing something with my logic i think.
have extension number in as normal(in normal partion with css having the closed partiton listed first) and as a cti route point as described above.
the CTI route point isnt registered ( not sure why). the number rings...
Apologies for the silly questions but does this apply to internal calls, looking at the way this is set up it seems to be applied to DDI calls as I am changing the CSS on the gateway.
Sorry for the questions but I have an avaya background and making the transition across to CCM can be a tad...

I have bulit the time period, partition and cti route point. but getting a bit stuck with the next step.
I understand the concept that during normal hours the 'closed_PT' is not available and so skips past it, but I am not sure where to apply the CSS change as I want to have only...
I would like to be able to call forward an extension to a mailbox (set to deliver a closed message). I have had a search through forum and I know I should be able to configure time of day routing. Found this link which does a good job of explaining what time of day is but i am having a bit of a...
Just found this doc:
Maintenance
for the
Avaya™ G700 Media Gateway
controlled by an
Avaya™ S8300 Media Server or an
Avaya™ S8700 Media Server
the test MO command relates to testing Maintenance objects on G700'S (I think) as the logical and physical refers to the GGGVMPP naming convention...
This is going hand in hand with another post I have regarding on demand testing of analogue stations.
was going through looking at what tests I could do and I saw this one 'test MO' 'logical' xxxxx, 'physical' xxxxxxx, 'test #' xxx,
['repeat' (1-100) or 'clear']
I wasn't aware of this...
Cannot seem to find any info on this, pressing help gives me this:
Enter 'logical' xxxxx, 'physical' xxxxxxx, 'test #' xxx,
['repeat' (1-100) or 'clear']
This definity forms part of a 'life critical system' and as part of a health and saftey requirement I am required to prove that all analogue stations are functioning. I think they are looking for a little more than there are no alarms so all is well" kinda response.
I was thinking of the test...
@ captainnick666
I have no problems with the test set to yes.
I am after trying to an on demand test of the analouge stations, simiilar to what is done during the daily maintenance.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated

Is it possible to do an on demand test of about 300 analogue stations?
I know the daily maintenance covers this, but I am looking to see whether I can run something like test #48 (station present test) on demand. Or, can I do a test station for multiple stations.
They way I am thinking of...
Anyone tell me if there is a maximum limit to the number of partitions allowed on a call manager (4.1). I have seen the explanation on CSS and partitions and the limitations there, but I just need to know the maximum limit(if any) on partitions themselves.
When I run a weekly change audit I seem to get a lot of useless entries that muddy the waters.
I get lots of these messages:
Default config collection job : PRIMARY-RUNNING
when I open config diff I always see :
Global Global

TonyJollans--you are exactly right I am running 2000 so this option is unavailable.
Loomah--the code looks good. will give it a try as soon as I get the chance.
Thanks guys, just proves once again that my own service desk could do with checking this site!
