This one is interesting. We have a 2 cabinet Fiber Remote (Option 11 cabinets) that have the NTAK04 Power Supplies, each connected to a dedicated NTAK75 Battery Box. We replaced the batteries, let them charge for 24 hours and then tried a load test. The breaker tripped and the test failed on...

You are a freakin rockstar! I setup a TSC in each of my remote 61C systems, directed them to a dedicated RLI with a DMI table that has CTYP NPA that routes the call to the 81C with a Phantom 500 forwarded to an external number and viola, all is right with the world once again. That...
bignose21,
That's an interesting and very creative idea utilizing a TSC, I'll give that a try. The route is already setup as EXT.
Will let you know.

I don't mind coming to work, but that eight hour wait to go home is a bitch.
bignose21,
Unfortunately that did not help. I'm beginning to think the problem is with Verizon, but don't understand why I'm only getting 5 digits on forwarded calls.
I'm open to any other suggestions at this point.

Hey Folks,
The title pretty much says it all.
This is on a military base.
I have a Phantom 500 set up to forward to public number. When I dial that 5 digit extension number from the 81C, I get full 10 digits from the originating DID. When that same number is called from one of our other PBXs...
biv,
Thanks, that's the kind of response I was looking for. I had thought about doing it by that method, too.
However, that doesn't solve the request to change the IP and FQDN.
I appreciate the reply!!

This customer has 10 IP phones. They want to add another 100. He’s not happy with his existing signaling server. So, he wants to replace it. I thought if we could add a new signaling server and the MC 32S cards as a new node, it might be easier than trying to replace. My thought process is to...
Just a quick verification.......can I safely add a 2nd Node ID to an existing system?
Customer wants to add new SS and MC32S to system and decommission existing equipment.
Want to set new Node with new ID, IP, FQDN and redirect existing phones to new equipment.
Documentation seems to support...
Needed to INI an 81C. It has 5 MSDL cards and we've been waiting over an hour for the MSDL downloads to complete.
How long does it normally take to d/l MSDL?
Thanks.

I'm familiar with the process of loading the patches, but need to know roughly how long it will take on each individual component. I'm putting together a timeline and it would be helpful to know approximately how long the project will take.
The software is at 7.65 but need to load the latest...
Sharky,
Were you able to just upgrade the server to 2012 with the i2050 Licensing Server still installed and then add new key codes or was it more involved?
Steve

Is there a procedure for upgrading an existing i2050 licensing server from server 2008 to server 2012. The 2012 server will be virtual.
Pretty sure I'll need to regen Keycodes for FQDN, etc, but need to find a written procedure if it exists.
Thanks in advance!

An update..............
I have tried this same setup on a completely different modem on the same machine (PC) and 2 different modems on another machine (PC) = Same Result (when trying to acquire ICS, using an OLP Workbook, the modem grabs dial tone and starts to dial, but the modem-tone sounds...
In the NRU:
In Cust Info, I select the customer
under Run Tool - Select Workbook
In Windows dialog box, open the correct workbook file
After Excel opens, Select ICS dropdown and then Acquire ICS
Select required Regions, etc. click OK.

No errors out of the ordinary in the log, just Connection lost or modem timeout.
The modem string is the same in both cases. Using the same modem. Just doesn't seem to make sense.
I have a few USRobitics modems laying around, I'll try one and get back to ya.
Thanks for the response.

I have a clean, tested installation of Norstar Remote Utilities 11 (NRU) on an XP machine.
Successfully used a modem with NRU and used the Remote Set Tool, Backup and Restore Tool and the Browser Tool, so I know the modem is working and connecting to the MISC 7.1.

I found the issue.
It was a REC'D # that was programmed on a Target Line.
Thanks to those that responded, as always its great to be part of this community.
