When I click on links to TIF files while browsing in IE6, it opens them using the Kodak plug-in within IE. I want TIF files to default to open in the full Kodak Imaging program. How do I achieve this?
That doesn't help I'm afraid. I'm in IE6 browsing the web, I want to click on a link to a TIF file and have it open in Kodak Imaging. What it does at the moment is open in the Kodak Imaging plug-in within IE which is no good to me.
Clicking on a TIF file on the C: drive works fine but that's...
When opening a TIF file by clicking a link in the IE browser the file opens in the browser window, however I want it to use Kodak Imaging software by default (it is actually using this but within the browser - I want it to use the native software).
Any ideas?
How would I go about associating Notes Mail with the File > Send To > Mail Recipient command? At the moment it is greyed out, presumably because Outlook is not installed and Word XP doesn't recognise Notes as the mail client.
Thanks
How do I go about giving a user rights to add a workstation to a domain? I don't want the user to be an Admin or do anything more complex than simply joining the WS to the domain.
Not really sure what you're asking. In the scenario you describe domain users will be prompted to change password. Local users on the XP box will not. This is expected behaviour.
How are you installing the Oracle 8.01.01 ODBC Driver? Via the Oracle setup program?
In ODBC Data Source Admin The Drivers tab picks up info from HKLM\Software\ODBC\ODBCINST.INI
Is it possible to override this dialog box (which appears when running an EXE as a non-Admin user) by using a switch at the command line e.g. SETUP /X or can it only be disabled by modifying the registry?
Even with Driver Signing switched to 'Ignore' a driver for the dell Touchpad still pops up a warning message. Checked the relevant reg keys and all looks ok. No policy is in place on the machine.
Any ideas?
When I try to convert my drive drom a basic disk to a dynamic disk I get an error saying there isn't enough free disk space to complete the operation. The drive is 60GB in total, partitioned into C: (20GB) and D: (40GB). C: has only about 2GB in use and D: about the same.
XP uses cached credentials to allow a domain user to log on locally even when a domain controller is not available. Yes if I were you I would set them up to always attempt to log on to the domain. Less hassle that way.
I'm guessing it doesn't shut down without the -f switch which would suggest one of the processes is preventing XP shutting down. Therefore you want manually end applications/processes with Task Manager before shutting down to determine by a process of elimination which one is causing the problem.
Please bear with me. I'm not a VB Scripter.
How would I go about querying a file version (range) and writing a file based on the results? To be exact What I need to do is check if NTOSKRNL.EXE version is in the range 5.0.2195.4797 - 5.0.2195.4928 and if it is write a flag file somewhere on...
