I would try making changes to TALKFEATURES which controls which controls what softkeys show up during a call.
There is no option for ringing line while active but try adding...
Thanks for the reply. I managed to get it to work by restoring the router to default and then adding back my setting. It was a problem with the wireless NIC but somehow it just won't see that wlan as it was, maybe something incorrect was cached, I don't know.
One of the PCs on my home network cannot see the wireless network but it sees every other wireless network in range. Previously it had been connecting fine. It's a laptop running XP Pro. So I changed the SSID on the router and it saw it again. Changed the SSID back to what it was and it was...
list measurements trunk-group summary yesterday-peak
will give you the peak usage during an hour period for the previous day for each trunk.
I have that scheduled to run once a day and the command already posted (scheduled to run every 2 minutes) to see the max concurrent lines in use.
The service provider is BT. They now say that the problem is on their network. That they're getting "no channel available" when trying to connect the call with the incumbent service providers network.
Yes, this is the route pattern for international but bear in mind that this is only an intermittent problem. I can call the same international number 20 times and it might only go out the 2nd trunk once.

I'm having an intermittent problem where calls will go out through our 2nd trunk even though the 1st one is not full and is available.
This only happens on international calls (even though the route pattern is identical to the one for local calls) and seems to happen around peak times. I've...
This is an excellent post. I have been using the underscore and a comma at the end (if there is no other comma) but I just tried the double tilde and it's much better.
@big70, all these phones have cov paths
@Ed, I tried your suggection and you are correct sir, I was doing it wrong, I had to get the girls at reception to teach me how use the feature, very embarrassing.
Thanks for the help.
Hi,
The only difference I see between yours and mine that might affect outgoing calls is on our trunk group we have Disconnect Supervision set to yes for incoming and no for outgoing. You could try changing yours to no for outgoing and see if it makes a difference. Other than that I'd get on...
I have 2 reception phones that have the 'goto cover' button and they can be used to transfer calls directly to users' VM. These 2 phones are 8434Ds.
Problem is that on any of the other phones in the office 2410, 2420, 6408D+, 6424D+, I can't get the button to work. When I have a call on the...
Can you do a 'status trunk #' on your Eircom trunk and post the results. Also do 'disp trunk #' and post page 1, 2, 3 and 6. Then do a status and display on the signalling group (shown on page 6).
I have a working Eircom ISDN trunk so we can copy the settings from that.
I have a vector that looks like this:
01 wait-time 0 secs hearing silence
02 collect 2 digits after announcement XXXX
03 goto step 6 if digits = 00
04 route-to number YYYY with cov n if unconditionally
05 stop
06 route-to number ZZZZ with cov n if...
Thanks for the response chandler,
I think you're right because if I change the public-unknown -numbering for my extension I can only use a number in our DID range or else I just get the first DID number. Thanks for the answer I'll have to talk to our service provider.
Sean
Apologies if this has been asked before but I couldn't find it.
I have a cover path with a remote point. My question is if the call being sent to the remote point is an external one, can I send the original number? And if so, how? Call is coming in and going out same trunk (ISDN PRI). CM 2...
